Mercoledì 3 luglio 2024 il Circolo Magnolia di Segrate a Milano ospita Action Bronson in concerto.
Originario di New York, nel quartiere di Flushing nel Queens, Bronson, Ariyan Arslani, in arte Action Bronson, prima di passare al rap, studia alla scuola di cucina dell’Art Institute di New York e diventa un famoso chef. L’amore per la cucina e il buon cibo portano Bronson a condurre un cooking show online tutto suo, Action in The Kitchen, che contribuisce a renderlo estremamente popolare in tutti gli Stati Uniti. Nel 2007, però, un brutto incidente lo costringe ad allontanarsi dalla cucina. È in questo momento che Bronson approfondisce la sua passione per il rap e le rime. Nel 2011, infatti, vengono pubblicati Bon Appetit... Bitch!, Dr. Lecter, The Program EP e Well-Done - registrato in collaborazione con Tommy Mas e con Statik Selektah.
Magnetico e imprevedibile sul palco, nei suoi testi Bronson evoca l’ambiente underground di New York e descrive l’ossessione per il cibo e la cucina. Blue Chips è il disco che nel 2012 porta il suo nome nel firmamento della scena indipendente americana e alla fine dello stesso anno l’artista sigla un contratto con la Warner Bros Records, celebre etichetta del magazine Vice.
Nel 2013 il rapper pubblica Saaab Stories, ep prodotto da Harry Fraud che - grazie alle apparizioni di Prodigy e Raekwon, due dei principali ispiratori dell'hardcore anni '90 di Bronson - raggiunge il sesto posto nella classifica rap di Billboard. Il terzo album Mr. Wonderful, grazie anche al singolo di lancio Baby Blue, con la partecipazione di Chance the Rapper, raggiunge il secondo posto della classifica rap e il settimo posto della Billboard 200. Di nuovo in coppia con l'abituale collaboratore Alchemist, Action Bronson torna nel 2019 con l'ep Lamb Over Rice e all'inizio del 2020 collabora con Kool G Rap.
L'album successivo di Bronson, Only for Dolphins arriva proprio nel 2020, con le rime tipicamente sfacciate del rapper abbinate a produzioni di ampio respiro che fanno riferimento al soul latino, al reggae e persino alla fusion russa della metà degli anni '80, fino all’ultimo album, Cocodrillo Turbo, pubblicato nel 2022.
