A grande richiesta Pino Daniele tornerà con 5 nuove date esclusive di “Nero a Metà”. In questi nuovi appuntamenti sarà accompagnato da i musicisti originali dello storico album del 1980 e la partecipazione di Tullio De Piscopo e di James Senese. Ospite della serata sarà l’amico e collega Mario Biondi, con cui il cantautore napoletano ha da poco duettato anche sul palco dell’Arena di Verona durante il concerto-evento dello scorso 1° settembre.
“Nero a Metà” è un grande spettacolo dove saranno protagoniste tutte le canzoni contenute nell’omonimo terzo album di Pino del 1980, grandi successi da “Quanno chiove", "Alleria", "Voglio di Più", "Nun me scuccià" al brano che dichiara la sua passione di sempre “A me me piace 'o blues”.
Insieme all’artista la band composta dai musicisti che parteciparono alle registrazioni dello storico album: Gigi De Rienzo (basso), Agostino Marangolo (batteria), Ernesto Vitolo (piano, tastiere ed organo) e Rosario Jermano (percussioni)… E non solo!
“Nero a Metà” è un identità di suono ed in questi concerti ci sarà tutta la storia musicale di Pino grazie anche alle partecipazioni straordinarie di Tullio De Piscopo alla batteria e di James Senese al sax; tra Blues, rock, jazz, sonorità acustiche e l’immancabile tradizione napoletana, sul palco anche gli amici Rino Zurzolo (contrabbasso) ed Elisabetta Serio (piano).
“Nero a Metà” (1980), registrato allo Stone Castel Studio di Carimate (sul Lago di Como) in un’atmosfera di totale immersione nella musica e di incontro con grani artisti come Dalla, De Andrè, Venditti, che li frequentavano abitualmente, è l’album della consacrazione per Pino Daniele, simbolo di quel sound inconfondibile, diventato suo marchio di fabbrica in Italia e all’estero, ed è ancora oggi nella classifica Rolling Stone Italia dei “100 album più belli di sempre”.

This modified bicycle is pedalled with the hands. Susie and I saw a few of these around. This one was in Kampong Phluk.

This formidable piece of equipment was made in the UK, and used by the Allies during and after the war. Its original design was derived from pre-war commercial Enigma machines. The ones at Bletchley were modified to fully emulate Enigma. After hard working staff used cribs and Bombes to discover the day's keys, messages would be typed into these machines for decryption. Note the use of paper tape and the English language keyboard layout.
This one is a Mark 23 with all the bells and whistles. As you can see, two different strips of paper tape are used. The two huge tubular structures in the back are printers, one for clear text (deciphered) and one for ciphertext. The printer on the right is opened up to show the complicated works inside, with a separate solenoid and arm for each character. Rotors are seen in the box at the left, and they went inside a unit that's hidden beneath the copy holder. The two plugboards flanking the keyboard are roughly similar in function to the ones on the Enigma, but separate for the decipher and cipher sides.
The words "WASH," "DRY" and the ¢ sign are plastic letters glued on. "Coin" is painted on, and you can see where the ¢ used to be -- under the "n."
Most people have never noticed that that's not an ampersand before "DRY." I wonder what prompted the revision.
