The U.S. Air Force Honor Guard and the U.S. Air Force Ceremonial Brass Band conduct modified military funeral honors with funeral escort for U.S. Air Force Maj. Gen. Michael Collins in Section 51 of Arlington National Cemetery, Arlington, Va., Jan. 30, 2023.
After graduating from the U.S. Military Academy at West Point in 1952, Collins joined the Air Force and became a fighter pilot. In January 1954, Collins joined the 21st Fighter-Bomber Wing at George Air Force Base, Calif., where he learned to deliver nuclear weapons in his F-86 Sabre jet. From 1959 to 1963, he was a test pilot for the Air Force Flight Test Center at Edwards Air Force Base, Calif. There, he tested performance, stability, and control characteristics of experimental Air Force fighter jets. During his career, he logged over 4,200 hours of flying time.
In October 1963, Collins joined NASA as a member of the third group of NASA astronauts. During the Gemini 10 mission, Collins became the third U.S. astronaut to complete a spacewalk. As the pilot of the Apollo 11 command module, Collins remained in lunar orbit while his fellow crew members, Neil Armstrong and Buzz Aldrin, landed on the surface of the moon. He logged 266 hours in space.
After leaving NASA, he went on to hold such positions as assistant secretary of state for public affairs, director of the National Air and Space Museum, and undersecretary of the Smithsonian Institution.
Collins received many awards and decorations throughout his career, including the Presidential Medal for Freedom.
Collins’ daughter, Kathleen Collins, received the U.S. flag from her father’s funeral service.

This is an example of a human modified skull. The Incan people, as did many other peoples, had Nephilim and Nephilim descendants among them too. The common people on occasion would modify their babies skulls, while soft with ropes and boards, in order to make their child look more "god like". They knew the Nephilim among them were god-like and wanted their children to appear god-like too.
I removed the pins for the air pump as the looked silly and were not attached well to the frame. Luckily no sinkholes underneath them!

Su MTV ha scritto e partecipato a programmi di successo quali Tokusho, Videoclash, BlackBox e Lazarus. Il grande successo è stato raggiunto, assieme al socio Biggio, con I soliti idioti, giunto alla quarta serie e trasformato successivamente in film e in un libro.
I couldn't use the adjustment bit that came with the saw since it caught on the trestles I had to drill a few holes and screw a bit on wood on. Worked great, but I should have extended it infront more instead of behind it. It has no effect on the back since the spar is cut and can't give any support.

This is the only Richardson 'Candle' in the Centre of old Cambridge that was modified and updated in the 1990s in an attempt to improve the lighting from this 1957 vintage fluorescent installation, without having to resort to replacing the famous Candles. However, the conversion was deemed unsuccessful and no other Candles were converted. In 2009 with an impending PFI street lighting renewal scheme in the offing, the Candle installation is still under threat.

‘A single post top Candle was removed and upgraded in accordance with the Speirs And Major Street Lighting Strategy document. Instead of using four fluorescent tubes, it uses two metal halide bulbs in a specially designed optical system'.

I filed down the front face of the cylindrical cable end. I tapered the lower edge quite a bit. Now, a normal tug on the cable pops it out easily.
Modified an old 'rifle grip' by replacing the mechanical trigger and cable with a couple of tactile switches and a 3.5mm stereo socket.
The cable is the same one I use for the focus/ shutter module on Woody to operate the Canon 400D. So I can now operate the Canon without touching it except for the zoom.
Just a small bit of pcb, 2 tactile switches, a resistor and some wires. Top switch focuses and bottom fires the shutter.
Now that I have put a motor on my video camera, I just need to add a battery box and I can change the zoom without having to reach back.
Now wondering if I can add another 2 switches and an extra socket so I can use the motor to operate the zoom on the Canon .........
Pitfield Bridge, is a riveted wrought iron, Warren truss road bridge, located over the Woady Yaloak Creek on the Rokewood-Skipton Road near Pitfield in Victoria, Australia. The bridge was originally constructed in the late 1850s, by the Woady Yallock Roads Board, and modified later in the century by construction of a large riveted wrought iron truss span..

The bridge was evidently in place in 1859, when the Victorian parliament called for the approaches to the bridge to be improved.[2] The bridge is on the same road as McMillans Bridge which was erected by the Victorian Central Road Board around the same time to a design of Charles Rowland, a student of prominent colonial engineer David Lennox.[3] Repairs, presumabley to the timber spans, were made in the same year suggesting the bridge had already been standing for some time.[4] Repairs were eventually carried out in 1863.[5].

Later in the century the timber span was replaced with a riveted wrought iron truss designed by Charles Anthony Corbett Wilson for the Shire of Grenville. Wilson was influenced in this bridge design by the efficient and lightweight truss designs of Professor W. C. Kernot of Melbourne University He went was also a particularly prolific Victorian shire engineer, whose career spanned more than 50 years. The bridge was on a historical route between Geelong and the 1850s goldfields at Ararat and Streatham.[6] A notice of £400 being allocated to the bridge suggests the new trusses weree installed in 1898.[7] However, repair works on the bridge were also carried out in 1900.[8] In 1967, the Rokewood-Skipton Road was realigned at Pitfield and a new bridge was built over the Woady Yallock River.[3].

The timber deck has a single layer of longitudinal planking on timber cross beams, which are bolted to the flanges of the truss top chords. Most of the timber has rotted away however, The bridge has two span of 26 metres long with a deck about 7 metres wide. The wrought-iron Warren trusses are of unusually light construction, with each member sized according to the relative force applied.[3].

What is significant?.
Pitfield Bridge is a riveted metal Warren Truss bridge on bluestone abutments. The Bridge is a total length of approximately 53 m overall, comprising two spans of 26 metres. It is located south of the existing road on a bypassed crossing with sharply angled approaches. The bluestone abutments (probably relating to an earlier strutted timber beam bridge of c1870) are teamed with deep but lightweight riveted wrought iron Warren Trusses, a central pier of two riveted wrought iron cylindrical columns, and timber cross planking and longitudinal timber decking with scarf-jointed timber kerbs..
How is it significant?.
Pitfield Bridge is significant for aesthetic/architectural, historic, and scientific (technical) reasons at a State level..
Why is it significant?.
The Pitfield Bridge is of historical significance for its association with an important pre-gold route once known as the Upper Portland Road, and one of the major connecting routes between the Western District and the ports of Portland and Geelong. A series of important early metal bridges (Pitfield, McMillans, Shelford) as well as some substantial bluestone arch bridges (Winchelsea, Waurn Ponds) survive on this route as a unique collection, which reflect the significance of the road in the second half of the nineteenth century as a main route for commerce and communication between the Western District and Melbourne, Geelong and Portland markets and ports. The route provided outlets for wool and agricultural produce, as well as gold from diggings between Ballarat and Stawell. The Pitfield Bridge and other bridges along the route also reflect the influence, expertise and technical development of local designers, engineers and metal works in the regional cities of Geelong and Ballarat..
It is of technical significance for its highly refined Warren Truss design which incorporates chords of variable section based on the differential stresses in each part of the bridge. That is, the thickness and number of diagonal members reduces from the ends to the middle of the spans in response to the increased loads closer to the bearing points. Although documented confirmation is yet to be found, there is a high probability that this is a design which draws on the work of Melbourne University engineering department Professor Kernot, in the same way that the nearby McMillans Bridge also demonstrates this design development..

It is of aesthetic or architectural significance as a rare and intact survivor of a late nineteenth century, metal truss bridge on stone abutments. The stonework is of classical proportions and fine finish reflecting the skills of stonemasons and the bridge designer with subtle finishes such as drafted margins to the corner stones, projecting string courses and curved wing walls..

The current condition of the bridge, while dilapidated, creates a very picturesque quality..

Sabato 8 giugno 2013 nell’Arena concerti di Rho Fiera ha avuto luogo uno degli appuntamenti più importanti di quest’estate per i fan dell’heavy metal, ovvero il festival Sonisphere 2013, con la partecipazione di ben sette formazioni fra le quali, gruppo di punta, gli Iron Maiden.
Ghost B.C. sono una vera band di culto, nata a Stoccolma nel 2008 e capace di attirare l’attenzione con un solo disco. Nel 2013 esce però l’attesissimo secondo lavoro: i due misteriosi membri fondatori (dai fantastici nomi Papa Emeritus II e Nameless Ghouls) saranno ben lieti di proporre i nuovi brani, attirando anche i non-fedeli grazie al loro look decisamente eccentrico (e, sì, ‘papale’).
Ovviamente lo show al festival sarà diverso, sia per il minutaggio ridotto, sia per il fatto (quasi inedito) che il gruppo suonerà alla luce del giorno. Uno dei Nameless Ghoul, durante l’intervista esclusiva con Soundsblog, non si era detto spaventato dalla sfida:
“Suonare di giorno chiaramente non è la stessa cosa, ma un paio di volte l’abbiamo già fatto e sappiamo che può funzionare. Fortunatamente non siamo una band solo teatrale, abbiamo anche una musica più che buona da far ascoltare, quindi anche se la scenografia è meno d’impatto, la musica rimane la stessa, e si spera che sia la musica ad attirare la gente. Per tutto il resto, vale il discorso che facevo prima riguardo alle band con cui suoniamo ai festival: vogliamo raggiungere il maggior numero possibile di persone, e se per farlo dobbiamo a volte suonare di giorno, è sempre meglio che non suonare del tutto.”
