eine etwas andere Art der Behausung fand sich auf dem Zanggen wieder, der höchsten Erhebung in meinem diesjährigen Ski-Urlaub! :-)

Falls County Courthouse, located in Marlin, TX. Built in 1939 during the New Deal, Art Moderne style. The 27th county courthouse I have visited in Texas.
I stopped at Marlin on my trip from College Station to Waco via Texas State Highway 6. Nothing really to say about Marlin because the city was quite dilapidated from what I could see on Hwy 6 Business Route. Layers of fallen leaves were on the street parking on the back of the courthouse and no one seemed to clean it, maybe because I visited on a Saturday. A water fountain attached to a stone tablet for the honor of the Confederate soldiers was on the side of the courthouse square. It was the first time I saw a drinking fountain for the Confederate, not sure if it was erected by the UDC. The most notable businesses around the courthouse were an Exxon gas station and a CBD & Vape shop. It was not the best place to bring your wife or girlfriend out. I enjoyed the flowers on the courthouse square, and hence this photo.
