Well it’s not often I rabbit on about my finds... I like the saying” a picture is worth a thousand words” but.... how about this....what a cracker...not known... not in the gazza... not mentioned by anyone I have spoken to, or listed in any book I have ever read.
Called Haymeads a real county mansion? but wait is it? Cast you eye up long sweeping drive up and look at the zigzag detailing over the big bold entrance porch, surly pure art deco style. How about The ladder up to the hidden roof sun terrace again a deco trait. And for the more observant ..observe “puns intended” it’s even got an observatory. The only thing that stumps me is the windows.
Round the back we find an old favourite of mine a Rotunda... Italianate planting that reminds me of the style of the village of Portmeirion...as does the rear style of the house. So any comments and views welcome... is it Mansion or morderne?

The luma building. Built in the 1930's as light bulb factory. They would test a batch of each production run of bulbs in the glass part of the tower. The light would illuminate the whole area of Sheildhall road.
