The photo was taken at the same location as an earlier photo where Vera is sitting on the stairs. In this photo she is closer to the lighting, making the light more intense and the background darker.
The daylight that shines into the building through a window ensures that her hair, forehead and nose bridge are nicely accentuated.
By turning her body to the shadow and her face to the light, she has direction where the light ends up.

Location: The Veemgebouw in EIndhoven. This is very diverse location, where you can make beautiful atmospheric pictures, small shops focused on food.
This photo I made in a pub that is present at this location. On the left you have big windows where the light comes in and I played by vignetting in post processing with the light.
Wasn't expecting Glen Dochard Distillery to make the cover of Railway Modeller this week!
