My friend Dale and I make a to Woodward Avenue in suburban Detroit on August 12, 2015 for Woodward Dream Week festivities. We visited Pasteiner's Auto Zone, a shop that specializes in auto literature and model cars. I couldn't pass up this beautiful (and rather large) 1937 Lincoln Zephyr for only $75.

Forgot to show the rear of this one: The workshop foreman and the bus company director are proudly presenting their newly restored vintage bus.
AutoArt 1/18th Scale model of a McLaren 720S GT3 race car. The lower images were recoloured using Photoshop. The main image was created by manually focus stacking 11 images taken with a 65 mm lens @ f8.
This was how I started my life as a truck driver: employed by a brewery back in 1979 driving a small Mercedes LP608.
A great day at the Nash dealer, the new Rambler and Metropolitan models have arrived. And the public seem to like them as well.
The Midwest Miniatures Museum at Hickory Corners, Michigan is on the campus of the Gilmore Car Museum but is not associated with the Gilmore. I took this photo during a visit on June 16, 2017. A classic Bugatti race car is in front, with a stylish Chrysler Imperial phaeton behind. As you can see, the display is behind glass. Midwest Miniatures Museum

One of my favourite models, the Mercedes Benz SLK 55 AMG, getting the black showroom shoot.
The model itself was one of the cheapest in my collection, yet had a heap of extras with it. As well as being beautifully detailed, it came with a full spare set of alloy wheels and even lower profile tyres, different seats, internal fittings. Even the suspension is adjustable for ride height and camber! It has the original fully folding roof which comes out of the boot (trunk) but unfortunately it does not quite lock into place.
This is a ten image focus stack done in-camera on the Canon R10 and using the RF 24-240mm lens. Lighting is natural diffused daylight from a window well off to one side.
On a side note, I only found out today that this RF 24-240mm zoom lens works with the focus stacking feature of the R10 camera. Previous information online (even from Canon's own websites) had led me to believe it was incompatible. The end result was me going silly and taking a heap of car shots this morning. Hope you don't get sick of seeing them! ; )
