Aperture priority mode - Shot Second. I actually really like this photo too, manual is my favorite though, but I wanted to take a different aspect from landscape/automatic mode. I decided to overexpose the image to make to make it look like it was a sunrise rather than a sun set image. I think this image came out really nice with the less than 10 minutes I had to get my shots!

So, another year, another super honking big Transformer figure.

For 2017, the figure was Trypticon, which is of course everyones favourite T-Rex/Base/Battle Platform from Generation One.

The figure has been given an upgrade, and is now much larger in an attempt to match the sheer size that is Metroplex.. .it doesn't quite get there but it's pretty close.

Overall, the figures three modes (plus one bonus mode) are much better designed and look less arbitrary than that of Metroplex and more importantly Fortress Maximus.

The toy, I figure, is a labour of love. Not only is the figure a very good homage to the G1 toy (like most of the recent lines), but there are no wasted blank surfaces. There are lines and other fine details all over the thing.

Visually, the figure is nearly identical to the Takara Tomy release, with the only exception I know for sure being the colour of the screw on the Necro figure (silver on Hasbro, black on Takara). I believe that even the stickers are identical on both toys, but I'm still looking for evidence of this.

Maybe Hasbro realized that collectors wanted a premium finish.. maybe Takara realized that they could make more money by keeping it the same.

There are spots of accenting silver paints which I think if Hasbro had its usual way wouldn't be there (hip area, mouth gun).

QC wise, however, I'm pretty sure the Takara is better. Despite looking for one of the "good batches" (yes, it's a thing) I had some pretty major QC issues.

First being the warped chest door, which I think is a result of the use of softer plastics and the fact that the figure comes packed with Full Tilt attached to the chest, which basically causes extensive warping over time should the door be jostled out of position during transit/storage.

Secondly, the various clips holding the side of the figure together are generally rather shoddy and don't actually hold well.

But hey, my dino hips were good.

A mother spider guarding her egg.

Possibly a Nursery Web Spider based on it's eye arrangement.

Live near streams in forests.

This genus is common in Tawau Hills Park too.

Capable of using silk to hang it's egg and itself on this light pole.

Brown in color with wavy white and dark lines.

She is calm now, when I first spotted, it was in her alerted pose.
