This van is of Dutch origin: it has been used as a SRV ambulant shop.

Later it was in use by the band 'Jovink en de Voederbietels' (1992-2007), from Bennie Jolink's son Gijs Jolink.

After this period the van was sold to a Waterlooplein (2nd hand market) trader who used it for commercial purposes.

Previously it is painted black.

By 1996, this former Greater Manchester Dodge minibus was earing its keep as a mobile flower shop in West Yorkshire.

1960s/1970s mobile shop with electrical traction.

This funny small electrical delivery van is from Dutch origin. They were used by the milkman or bakery to sell their products at the frontdoor.

You don't need a drivers license to handle this little delivery van, it doesn't wear license plates either.

With electrical traction Spijkstaal was in fact times ahead.

The island measures about 180 km (110 mi) north-south and about 65 km (40 mi) at its widest point. In the north it nearly joins Samar, separated by the San Juanico Strait, which becomes as narrow as 2 km (1.2 mi) in some places. The island province of Biliran is also to the north of Leyte and is joined to Leyte island by a bridge across the narrow Biliran Strait. To the south Leyte is separated from Mindanao by the Surigao Strait. To the east, Leyte is somewhat "set back" from the Philippine Sea of the Pacific Ocean, Samar to the northeast and Dinagat to the southeast forming the Leyte Gulf. To the west are Cebu and Bohol.

Leyte is mostly heavily forested and mountainous, but the Leyte Valley in the northeast has much agriculture.

Politically, the island is divided into two provinces: Leyte and Southern Leyte. Southern Leyte is in the south and includes the island of Panaon, while Biliran Island, a separate island which used to be a part of Leyte province, is to the north and an own province: Biliran Province.

The chief cities of Leyte are Tacloban City, on the eastern shore at the northwest corner of Leyte Gulf, and Ormoc City, on the west coast.

Leyte today is notable for the geothermal electric power plants near Ormoc.

However, Leyte is most famous for its role in the reconquest of the Philippines in the World War II. On 20 October 1944, General Douglas MacArthur waded ashore on Leyte, saying "I have returned". However, the Japanese did not give up so easily, as the ensuing Battle of Leyte proved, and convergence of naval forces resulted in the four-day Battle of Leyte Gulf, the largest naval battle in history.

Whilst many of the vehicles in the yard were ex ministry there were also a number of civilian ones as well.

This Albion Mobile Shop particularly took my eye. It was in good all round condition and I could just see it on the rally circuit fully of appropriate period produce.

The Volkswagen LT Series van was introduced in 1975. It was the largest van version VW had to offer.

Unknown make, who can help?

In July 2013 I found out it's probably a Citroën HY Sligtenhorst/NEBA mobile shop. "Citroën in Nederland" (by Wouter en Rob Jansen, 1994) is showing on page 142 a mobile shop which is exactly the same as this one on my photostream.

Coachbuilders Sligtenhorst made campervans, extended standard HY's and attractive mobile shops with polyester bodies. I couldn't find any further information about this company.
