I walked out the door this morning and thought "Great! A train has just arrived! And it's really empty!" Maybe not.

thumbnail sketch to finished piece
The thumbnail sketch is really rough, but you can see the main idea is still there. The location of the sitting character was changed slightly so he's in the tree, and lots of detail and more developed foliage was added, as well as more detail on the creature.
February, 2217: With tensions rising after a contentious election of the next Terran president, opposition forces obtained a mobile suit and ambushed the the new president's chief adviser and his armored motorcade.
In what is now known as the 'Shooting Gallery Massacre', the rebels gunned down two elite squads of armored troops and disabled the presidential adviser's limousine.
However, due to the selfless actions of the presidential security team and the attached armored troops, the chief adviser was whisked away to safety.
These actions triggered a series of events which led to a new Terran Civil War.
I should note I suck at dioramas and action scenes, but I enjoyed making this one. I'll probably re-purpose it again eventually. It was originally built for a BrickCon 2015 layout that never got off the ground, then was re-tooled and upgraded heavily for BrickCon 2016. Got as far as registering and even bringing it to con, but bumped it for space at the last second (with no regrets, it's boring AF)
There was a beautiful red sky this morning, but I was at the station waiting for the 7:15 and this mobile phone mast was all I had as a focal point :-)
I also modified the legs on this one, per suggestions from the good folks over at the Mobile Frame Hangar. They look a little stumpier to me; I may change the legs entirely. Might try some XVM legs, courtesy of XGundam05...

This former GPO Telephones mobile exchange vehicle has lived in Minffordd Yard for many years. It was one of a number of such trailers bought from GPO Telephones in the days before the organisation was separated to become BT. It still carries the original GPO logo and somewhat faded green livery. The railway acquired these as convenient and cheap storage solutions.
According to the Telephone Museum web site these trailers were "used to provide service in areas which had outgrown the then current exchange and urgently needed more capacity".

Unedited mobile phone cam shot of a van and buildings, reflected in a puddle in Amsterdam. No editing, no tricks, no Photoshop :)
I really like the colors of the van, they remind of the Superheroes that I've admired when I was a wee little wicked Reflectah, my favorite was SuperS@mman, then the Flash, then Batman...I still sometimes wish that I was superstrong or at least that I could fly, it would make thing so much easier in certain situations :)
Once puberty started peeping over my horizon, Wonderwoman and Superman's sister suddenly became more interesting, hehe ;-P
Who was your favorite Superhero when you were a kid?
