I thought I'd try my Samsung Galaxy S7 edge for a bit of streetphotography. It turned out pretty decent. The focus is lightening fast and so making candid shots very easy.
The shadowy dark line of the Pennine skyline contrasts with the sunny ups and downs of the distant Lake District one. Another aspect from Billinge Lump - this time to the east with two major industrial sites in Greater Manchester smoking and steaming out from the mist and murk. I think that the main plume is from the Carrington factory that makes polypropylene. It was difficult to get my bearings as the city of Manchester was hiding in the fug a mile or so to the left of shot!
Soyuz VS14 in the mobile gantry after liquid fuel transfer on 24 April 2016.
The Soyuz VS14 mission launching from the Guiana Space Center carries into orbit the Sentinel-1B satellite for the European Commission’s Copernicus Earth Observation Program. In addition to the primary payload, the mission is carrying the MicroSCOPE Satellite and three CubeSats to orbit.
Once in orbit, Sentinel-1B will provide radar images of Earth for Europe’s Copernicus environmental monitoring programme.
With the Sentinel-1 mission designed as a two-satellite constellation, Sentinel-1B will join its identical twin, Sentinel-1A, which was launched two years ago.

My friend is expecting a baby girl in January. She has two cats, so I made a birdie mobile, which I thought would be a fun addition to her home. Let's hope there won't be any cats swinging from it soon;-)

Conwy, North Wales. Now that many high streets are losing their bank branches, and even cash machines in some cases, is this the alternative perhaps? I couldn’t see a member of staff inside, so no one to help if customers have queries or problems. Even bank branches that remain open seem be to offering limited hours now…Whatever happened to customer service?

The Mobile Laboratory is designed to withstand some of the harshest frontier conditions and can be placed in some of the roughest terrain by way of towing, airdrop, or even under its own self driving GPS system. The driving system is not not the fastest, but it can move between 2-5 miles a day under its own power.
The power for the scientific equipment and engines are collected by two solar panels that are on a 360* swivel and are able to fold up or down almost 180* atop the roof. The power is collected and stored into batteries throughout the Lab to be used for different purposes. Some of the power is directed to external batteries that can be used to charge the Expeditionary Rover and other devices.
There is a range of transmission equipment on the Lab for quick connection to colonies and their main labs.
The crew does not live inside the lab, but rather usually sets up temporary living quarters with a Forward Living Pod.
So this was built in addition to my Expeditionary Rover for FebRovery 2015, but I just never got around to posting it. But here it is, 2 months late.
Enjoy.
