It's my turn to tell 10 facts about myself:
1. Everybody thinks I am lazy, but that is not true. I am just misunderstood. I am a sheepdog. I love herding, but unfortunately my family won't buy me any cows, sheep, chicken or rabbits, not even a few mice. I have to be satisfied rounding up butterflies, bees and my sister Yoda.
2. Can catch tennis balls. But I don't like it. I am a sheepdog, not a ball boy... Might catch the odd ball, but after 2 or 3, I won't move. You can throw the ball right at me, I won't flinch, even if it bounces off the top of my head... So please don't do it!
3. I am very stubborn. I like things my way.
4. I'll just about do anything for food. Can sit, lie down, play dead, roll over, spin around, shake hands and look really cute, if asked nicely with a treat.
5. Love to delay going to bed at night by pretending to search for the water bowl and drinking very slowly and for a long time (most of the water ends up on the floor instead of in my mouth anyway...)
6. Very tolerant when being cuddled. Don't mind being lifted, pulled closer or squashed a bit, as long as I am patted and the attention is focused on me.
7. Favourite game: tug of war with soft toys. Second favourite game: pulling the stuffing out of soft toys.
8. Very tough. Don't complain at all when getting my vaccinations at the vets.
9. Will hypnotize you to love me, if you look into my eyes for too long...
10. Love comfort. Have taken over the kids' beanbags and their old baby mattress, but nobody minds as long as we stay off sofas and beds.
(10.b Know how to make the kids let me sneak under their blanket occasionally... Able to lie very still, so nobody notices.)

Memories are some of the most difficult creatures to kill. I am fearful and timid again.
I am really nothing more than a dull mouse, but you see me as a giant monster in your rear-view.

Chiroptera or bats are misunderstood and maybe my favorite group of mammals, bats are demonized and with out them millions would starve form the out of control pest population exploding not including by pollinating flowers, which includes 420 agricultural products. I have always like bats even has a kid my love of bat grew of a general love for monsters and myth.

For this assignment we had to take a photo of something that was decayed or decaying. I misunderstood and thought that it also had to be a landscape. But I'm glad I did because this is a photo of something that had decayed both connotatively and denotatively. This is a picture of the Harmar Village footbridge/old train tracks. The city of Marietta has recently closed this footbridge to the public, virtually cutting off Harmar Village from the city of Marietta; effecting tourism and businesses. I have walked this bridge dozens of times and I feel as though it has been a large part of my college experience. Now that it is closed it is decaying both literally and figuratively, at least to me.
The other object in this picture is the sternwheel boat called the Becky Thatcher, named after the Mark Twain character, Tom Sawyer's girlfriend. Before it closed a few years ago it was a restaraunt and bar. It was also a large part of my college life. My friends and I spent many a night on that boat. But now, just like the bridge, it sits motionless and unused, rotting away. To help keep its memory alive my friends and I will sneak onto it, climb to the top, and jump off into the cool water of the Ohio/Muskingum River.
Sometime misery is misunderstood by the most powerful thing . Instead of that , generosity can change everything .
Concerned that too many autistic young people are misunderstood for being rude or badly behaved, a group of Fixers have prepared their own version of the ABCs to help schools better recognise the signs.
With the help of Fixers, Lewis Beeston (17) and his group are creating the ‘A-Z of Autism’ booklet for teachers and pupils, with every letter of the alphabet relating to a word in the autistic spectrum.

This is the "extra" photo of the Adam - Horse of a Different Color selection. He seems misunderstood, perhaps because he pushes people away with his outrageousness. Almost everything he believes in is against the norm. He is shocking and appalling. Unpredictable even. He barely communicates with the rest of his family (mom, dad, brother, and sister), he claims that he has a hard time with women, and he told stories of how he has been screwed over.
"I'm anti-social" he said.
The darkness that surrounds him could be a multitude of things; his anarchist-like mind-set, his screw the world type personality, even the darkness that comes with being a Satanist. I know you guys can't see his eyes in any of these three shots but believe me when I tell you that they are the darkest brown I have ever seen.
However the light coming in from outside portrays two things to me; one his true human goodness and two the love that people have for him. Adam may not realize it or believe it but I have faith that there are people who love him. He has his back turned to the love in this shot, and the darkness seems overwhelming, but the light IS there. It is there.
This photos kind of summarizes it all for me. My perception of Adam is this shot right here.

Misunderstood!
Not sure where today has gone, any ideas? But it's gotten run to this time and i still hadn't taken an image for today. I did miss a corker of a shot at work today, but was up on some scaffold and my camera was in the van 3 floors below, still never mind.
Anyway i've managed to get a shot and here it is.
Meet Fred, one of our incredible sleeping machines or to put it another way a Greyhound. A breed which i think is very misunderstood, all though there does seem to be more about as pets these days or it could be i just notice them as we have some.
They are the most gentle and, quite frankly bone idle, breed you'll ever some across, the best description i've heard was "A 40mph couch potato!". I think some of the problem could be that people percieve them as a hunting dog, so wouldn't live well with cats, rabbits etc, however there are many that do live happily side by side with them. The other thing i think is people see a race dog, therefore they need a lot of exercise..wrong, they are a sprint dog, designed to be fast over a short distance. If we take ours for a run on the beach for half an hour, when they get home they will not move from their beds.
They also quite remarkable, holding the title as 2nd fastest land mammal after the Cheetah. Both are masters of the double suspenson gait, but what give a Cheetah the edge, is it's more flexible spine and it's semi retractable claw, which basically means it has running spikes.
Finally last night I found a few Tree wasps. There has been very few social wasps about this year which I think is worrying.... As most of you know, I have a huge soft spot for these fascinating insects.... Hope they'll bounce back next year! :-)

Whilst out for a stroll,I came across a Dalek.We chatted about the cold for a while,then I asked,"what ya doin",he replied that he was just out testing the repairs on his eyepiece.Then out of the goodness of his heart,he sink plungered it off and let me attach it to my camera,and thats how I got this pic!
