Very simple chocolates... cookie cutter / mold can do plenty of shapes. I like the nutty truffles though.
One more experiment with tilt shift. This time with a more complex situation, where the focused area cannot span across the entire photograph to look realistic, but is limited to an area in the center/left. Took more work for this one to look decent.
Taken in Bellevue, WA, with my little point-and-shoot camera.
Also, experimenting with different ways to add a less intrusive signature to my flickr photos.
This group of mini goblets were made from various wood - purpleheart, walnut, cocobolo, cherry, mahogany.
This miniatures which represent anything you could think off, from all types of shops, cars, houses, trucks, boats, suitcases with cash, passports, are used for asking favors to the virgin of Copacabana and also in the ritual of the "challa" or blessing. In Copacabana catholicism and ancient as believes mix freely.
Peru and Bolivia with Danika and Ron, this was a great trip around some of the most famous sights of Peru and a little of Bolivia. We travel for over 45 days on a specially commissioned trip, it was a great adventure.
This is a maquette for an artists book I am working on and will be part of my MFA work investigating impermanence. Read more at my blog: amandawatson-will.blogspot.com/2006/09/topic-21-miniature...
I was playing with the miniature effect on my camera which makes scenes look as though they are small models rather than real people/objects.
A rainbow layered pastry, known as lapis sagu or kueh lapis. A traditional favourite in the South-east Asia. :)
This treat brings back waves of childhood memories, of me peeling the layers off neatly and rolling them up before popping it in my mouth.
Traditionally, the top layer is always red, although I have yet to discover why.
Available in the store. (check my profile!)
As I live so high now I had to test out my DIY tilt lens here and took a few photos through the kitchen window.
Sugar Cookies turned into your favourite sweet treats - but in miniature! So cute plus they make the perfect giveaway and are quite entertaining!

I'm making this charm for a "Starfish & Coffee" bracelet I'm working on. It's a song by Prince and the chorus line goes like this: "Starfish & Coffee, maple syrup and jam, butterscotch clouds, a tangerine and a side order of HAM" LOL! I didn't think a "side order" (slice) of ham would be durable enough to take the punishment of being on a bracelet, so I opted to just make the entire ham. ;-) I have all the other components worked out and this was my last hurtle. Soon it will be ready for assembly.
Crafters notes -
After 3 tries at making a miniature ham, the third try was a success. Yay!
First ham: was too big, bone is in the center of ham instead of off to the side and the color is wrong.
Second ham: Color of meat is better but the color of the 'fat' is too translucent. Skin and ham texture are better.
Third ham: Fat color is perfect, but just a tad too much texture on the meat. This will do for now.
