Last Tuesday my beautiful, wonderful, generous, kind, thoughtful, and talented best friend Nati took a day off work to come to my house and slave over 40 mini cakes with me! She's the absolute best :) She also brought a delicious salad, bread and home baked cookies with her. I'm such a spoilt girl. We worked from 10.30 am to 10.30pm with a few breaks in between to get these little suckers done. They are 5cm square fruit and chocolate mud cakes (10 fruit and 30 mud) and let me tell you, no amount of money is enough for these, they are as labour intensive as a large cake!
Still it was a great day, with Nati and my daughter D'arcy helping out too, she cut out all the hearts for us, including the ones on the wire.

I went through my stash and chose a few of my favorite prints, not caring if they really coordinate and used the scissor scull guys in the middle because I plan to hang it somewhere around my sewing area.
I also used this one to practice the circle quilting. It was easier than I expected.
I was shooting a graveyard to help my girlfriend with a panorama project and couldn't help myself =)
I don't know when this service was started in China. It creates a mini space with two chairs for karaoke. The service charges counts every 15 minutes. It is very interesting.
LOL, a charming small variety of Chrysanthemum, in a lovely pink, selected from a mixed bouquet, so yep, more to come!

Mini Moo is doing well. He visited the vet yesterday, and then returned to my friends' farm to stay in their upstairs bathroom. I know that he will get more of the interaction that he craves staying in a house that homeschools three young kids rather than in the home of someone who is more often than not gone twelve hours a day for work. I have visiting privileges, of course! At the vet, Mini Moo received an antibiotic injection. He also will have ear drops, eye drops, a med to treat parasites, and lysine. This little trooper continues to be able to eat on his own and his drive to live is back in full gear. I truly hope and pray that his eyes respond to the treatment. . . I don't wish for Mini Moo to live with chronic eye issues (although I know the quality of life can be easily great. . . just look at Gumbo!). We are also praying for the right home for this little love bug!

My favorite of the bunch. It was tough cramming all the functions in a little package, but the stabilizers rotate and the cannon closes. The missile fires when you pull the little "wheel" in the back, and because it's mounted at 45 degrees, it shoots ridiculously far.
