Initial thoughts I had that started my first book "How to enjoy your job". I started brainstorming ideas during a boring conference session. 10 months later, I held my book in my hands.
Why is it that the beginning of the year always feels electrical with the excitement of *this year* being the one where you achieve all of your most important goals? Like most people, starting on New Year's, I spend time thinking about my goals, write many of them down, and start taking action. While I am happy with the progress I've made in the past, I've had the feeling that many of my goals seem to lose momentum after a few months. Starting a couple months ago I began researching how I could effectively be reminded about my goals on a daily basis, but not be overwhelmed by tons of information or underwhelmed by boring goals written on a piece of paper.

Gathering information for our new project. Students had to open a Science notebook in Evernote, and answer questions about Minerals. The next step will be create a draft of a mind map with the collected information.

Networked learning- A simple concept with much underlying complexity which for me, only starts to reveal itself when mapped out. Captured initial thoughts from brainstorming session on the types of information the team would like to put up on Moodle.
The Student Sharing Moodle and the Noticeboard Moodle would be student driven and include external input from past students in the field.
Lots of ideas were generated about going out into industry and videoing real life examples of equipment, procedures, kitchens etc that students wouldn't normally be exposed to.
Chuck Frey, the author of the MIndmapping Software Blog, published rencently an article entitled " The Future of Mind Mapping Software". It summarizes the essential fratures that should be incorporated in tomorrow's mind mapping software. I found this article very interesting and mindmapped the article's 7 key points. I used iMindmap V3, a really powerful Mind Mapping Software to create the Mind Map.
