I particularly like the "cowl" of the cockpit, and how the engine clusters turned out, for how simply they are constructed.
Photo quality is terrible, as this photo was just meant to quickly catalogue a long-standing and previously undocumented MOC.
University of Micropolis: Computing Department.
last microscale MOC for this weekend, and I confess I'm beginning to enjoy building these ...
background: I live in a city with a very famous, very old University. Most of the Colleges are old but there is a new crop of University buildings which are kind of new and more exciting, architecturally speaking. This microscale is inspired by one of the sites of the Computing Dept.
The Deutz-AG manufactured Scanner-Jammer is a multipurpose drone designed to augment civilian and military organisations.
Primarily the drone is a remotely operated scanning device, capable of passive and active scanning and real time updates to a sentient operator, usually on-board a nearby ship. However, the S/J can be used as a forward spotter for artillery, increasing the accuracy and effectiveness of space-based weaponry by more detailed guidance and telemetry.
The technology crammed into the drone can be reversed and flipped around in order to disrupt the scans and guidance systems of nearby vessels, too. Although skilled sensor operators can construct workarounds, the S/J can easily disrupt and scramble the data guiding snubfighters, shuttles and even some capital ship scale missiles.
The S/J cannot function whilst moving, however, and moves at half the speed of most snubfighters. The example pictured is on the periphery of an asteroid belt, using environment protection to keep it as far from harm's way as possible.
Manufacturer: Deutz-AG
Crew: Nil [1 x droid operator, wirelessly connected]
Special: Markedly increases effectiveness of sensors in the same fleet, as well as their targeting effectiveness. Secondarily, can jam nearby sensors and ships to create confusion and chaos.
Tiny cargo ship used by the diminuitive Ephii, the vessel is so small it is often missed by standard customs patrols. An obvious favourite of smugglers, even if the cockpit is a little snug for humans.
this came to me while sorting some table scraps :-)
It may only be a 2 cylinder, but it's a 324,000 cubic inch motor lol
here it is, all 6 modules completed so far.
Micropolis in all its glory.
you'll find details of Micropolis in this set
more terrifying than all other monsters is the attack of the Giant Chickens, famous for being ruthless and taking no prisoners !
more pictures of the fabulous Las LegoVegas, including the attacks of other horrifying giant creatures, in this set
Mondoshawans arrive at the ancient Egyptian temple. Built for the "Mi-Fi" - Microscale Sci-fi LEGO contest.
Take 2, after some very constructive criticism ( thx Birgburg ! ).
Better but I can't quite decide if I want extra pinnacles (guglie) at the back.
I built these border segments to provide a clean edge to my Micropolis display. Built for Bricks by the Bay 2020 virtual convention. See brickpile.com for more.
I thought I'd give you one last look at my microscale cityscape before it is demolished. The wrecking ball is about to swing...
It is hard to make the sky when you have only 10 light blue bricks :)
Kids (6 and 9) made everything between water and sky.
Not a very impressive looking building, but the build was an experiment. The windows are 1x4 tile and 4 length bars that are held in place by 1x2 slot bricks and nothing else.
I built this for the Lego Ideas Moments in Space contest. The winning entry has the chance to be made into an official Lego set that would be available as a gift with purchase. If you like it, please vote for it. If you really like it, please comment on the Ideas page and share the link to help this mini rover get more votes. ideas.lego.com/challenges/1b817aba-3990-4e6d-a17f-7a59a94...
Thank you and sorry for the self promotion.

The Verreaux-class transporter shows, once again, that Blacktron will brazenly copy any proven spacecraft design.
My tribute build of my favorite SHIP from SHIPtember 2013, Jacob Unterreiner's Phoenix
Special thanks to dark_syntax for the suggestions on the connections for the side "wings".
The Amberjack is a multirole starfighter utilised by local militias, law enforcement and mercenaries. The design was initially pitched to the European Union but it was passed over for the more expensive Caracal.
The Amberjack is a well-balanced fighter; it is less well armed but can outturn the American Scimitar in a dogfight.
The dual nacelle design means the Amberjack can lose an engine and keep fighting; this rugged-ness is appreciated by pilots and mechanics alike.
Oooh Wee! It's Mr. Poopy Butthole from Rick and Morty! Check out my Youtube channel for a tutorial video on Mr. Poopy Butthole: youtu.be/4el1FCAjHUY
This is the next model of my Microscale Truck series. In my opinion this is my best. I built 2 or 3 versions, before I get it right. Not easy to put so many details in that small scale. I hope you love it, like I do!

Don't miss the other pics on my photo gallery!
Late For Work! was a long time in the making. It’s not just that the set took four hours to construct; in fact, I’d had the germ of the idea three months ago. The original concept was a motorcycle chase with the police hot on the heels of Chewbacca. Sadly I had to abandon the idea when a contact posted a shot that was much too similar in concept.
The core idea lingered for weeks, though, and it picked up traction when I purchased the City Corner Lego set for my sister. This set includes a skateboard, and it provided the conceptual mutation I required: I’d simply use a skateboard in place of escapee’s motorcycle!
But who would I put on the skateboard? I struggled with that question for weeks. As a Lego figure, Chewbacca is problematic. He cannot turn his head and has no facial expression (or even eyes, for that matter). As fun as it might be to see Chewbacca on a skateboard, I just didn’t feel that the idea would work. Boba Fett was another character I considered, but because his helmet/backpack is a single piece he cannot turn his head either. Darth Vader is quite articulate but he’s a challenge to use because he’s so dark, and at the other end of the spectrum, stormtroopers are difficult because they’re so light.
The concept finally came together when I picked up the new Lego Sports Car. The minifig’s loose tie gives him a rather rattled look, and I imagined him experiencing a series of small catastrophes that make him late for a very important meeting. How and why he ended up on a highway being chased by the cops is left to your imagination.
As you can see, the set is far bigger than what is visible in the final shot. I built a structure that would give a subtle curve to a straight road baseplate, and I used small tiles to make a sidewalk on the baseplate that easily bent with the curve. In the distance, I placed eight micro-scale buildings and a series of 1x1 green nose cones to represent a tree line. The end effect was better than I ever expected.
Ah, but what of the Star Wars? In this case, I decided that the concept should be true to itself, and that didn’t include any link to Star Wars. Perhaps the picture’s popularity has suffered as a result, but I’m still happy with it.
And yes... there are some outtakes. :D
Playing with POV-Ray. This is the Jurassic Park model from the Jurassic World game by TT Games.
Their model uses at least one illegal connection and pieces not available in the correct colours hence why I've only created it digitally.
Someone asked for a bit of a breakdown of the mobile crane -- here you go! As you can see I put narrower tires on the wider hubs because that seemed to fit the 5-wide scale best. And I made alternate builds for the outriggers because I couldn't figure out a way to have them retract in a MOC this small.
For more photos, see the full set.
Note to self......if you've left something sitting around for quite awhile........pay attention to what accumulates (the chains that change)....you damn nungbat XD
He played with his mom’s heart, got lost in the clouds. Maybe next time Jimmy won’t play around with the giant’s birthday balloons.

8x8 vignette for Seven Bridges LUG's inaugural MOC contest! The angled plate that has no studs does actually have studs IRL; I simply didn't feel like editing them back in.

My first Microscale model, created for my first MUGS Meeting back in 2003. This is what first gave me the taste for microscale.
Added for completeness, and to see how far I have come since then.

man I say first a lot up there
Microscale version of set 6175 Crystal Explorer Sub built for the Brickset "60 Years of the LEGO Brick" competition.
I built a number of minifigure habitats before, and I experimented with a microscale Japanese habitat, that was recently featured on The Brothers Brick.
So here's a new addition to the series!

Ever since I first saw Ulrik Hansen's wonderful Copenhagen model (www.flickr.com/photos/ulrikbrick/albums/72157686587763290), I've been playing with the idea of using those techniques... so here's a small attempt at that. Of course it's Billund and it's 1954 because a map is available (map.krak.dk/?c=55.731508%2C9.114313&z=18&l=historic) and it will be easy to expand even in parts of the town not covered by the usual photos. I went for muted colors because all I have as reference are black and white photos and that black and white map. Also white buildings look great, in my opinion!
A huge thanks to Ulrik for the idea and the cool techniques!
These are some of my Microscale Tanks and bots from Supreme Commander:Forged Alliance to go along with My Monkeylord(s).
I built these in preparations for a diorama I'm planning, I had hoped to have it ready for BrickCon, but I don't think it'll be happening, though they will still be making an appearance, it just won't be as exciting! xD
