Just finished watching the Thomas Crown Affair. Who isn't inspired by the movie!? Oh to have a billion dollars, a seaplane, and your own island for when you just gotta get out of the office :-)

"Compliments of the chief."

I've been wanting to try my hand at microscale building for some time now, I've got a growing pile of stickers I've never used, and I was in a goofy mood last night. This was fun! :-)

My first attempt to build a microscale LEGO House (smaller than the official sets). There are still a few details to fix.

A GHL variant of the C-6 buzzer, the GHL C-6 Buzzing Brawler retains the same fuselage assembly but changes wings to adapt to lower-technology planets.

My first try at mircoscale ships, started trying to design a modern battleship variant and could not decide what I liked best, so here are 5 variants based on the same hull:

* AA-Cruiser

* Full Battleship

* Vertical Launch Ship (IRBM and Cruise Missile)

* Assault Battleship

* Helicarrier

I made this microscale version of the LEGO set 1592 in 2004. At that time there was some kind of challenge going on on 1000steine.de - the idea was to make different version of this set.

My concept for this series is using mainly white bricks with one accent colour. I started with this project after buying the Lego Architecture Studio and collecting small white bricks everwhere I can get them.

I choosed microscale because I like it to add a kind of abstract and reduced style to my city, and it needs less space in my shelf then minifigure scale :)

Retrofuturistic / Sixties SciFi inspires me to add some fun and irony to these buildings.

back to microscale, revisiting the typically British Red brick houses. I've built something like this before here but now I'm trying to build to the generally accepted 16x16 standard for a micropolis

block.

More pics in my photostream. And on Instagram.

Have I mentioned that you can find my builds on Instagram as @fgr62 ? You can follow me, I won't get offended

Microsale, about 1:350. Still 107 studs long. These things are monsters!

The Old Dominion is an aging utility craft usually tasked with ferrying miners and supplies to various asteroid and moon mining operations in the Taldron system.

It's most notorious cargo were 4 elephants for one mining stations manager's wife. He spent a years worth of pay to have them brought to the moon where she wanted to use them as a way to entertain the children. Lets just say the elephants weren't thrilled about the ride.

When the war came to the Antarion IV, the factories became a significant target for heavy bombers of the enemy faction. As a result, each factory was upgraded to defend itself and ultimately the factories on Antarion IV became as heavily armed as the war machines they produced.

Fluff

A twin-stage heavy anti-materiel/anti-armour weapon. The long 17.2mm projectile is injected into the linear accelerator system by a conventional chemical charge. The accelerator then shoots the projectile out at around 3000mps.

...to be continued eventually...

A workhorse of the New Republic, the Badger airframe is used primarily as close air support below orbit, and for strafing runs against capital ships once it has reached zero gravity. Though slow, and not very agile, the badger packs a punch with twin 70mm vulcan cannons, and heavy armor plating.

and the corn.

protect the corn too.

This was the second one I built, and probably my least favourite. I like the negative space design, but I could totally see it as a military gunship far more than a racer. But it's still cool, I guess.

This time not a space build.

I need a microscale sailing ship for next things, and this is it. Took me a lot of effort taking into account the number of bricks. And I like the result.

This is rendered image. Built in Studio program (I don't have all these bricks so far).

Rebrickable: Sailing Ship on Rebrickable

Not really based on the BattleTech machine of the same name.

More of the microscale I have lying around. Some kind of off road explorer, I'm not even sure which is the front end.

A very European-style statue that is several stories high. Hail Caesar!

I was inspired to make a micro scale castle today. And here is the end result.

I haven't posted much of anything recently, life has been pretty busy. But that doesn't mean that I haven't been building. I have been working on a technic uh-1h/1b huey, and it is still very much a WIP.

More pictures to come soon.

I could use any suggestions for a name for the castle.
