32*32 Micropolis module. Three appartmentbuildings and one mixed use (toy store at ground level).

I walked by a mobile crane the other day and it reminded me how interesting they are. And once I had the crane sorted, of course it needed a construction site ...

A series of micro ships made from a variety of small parts including some rare Bionicle pieces

not quite happy with this but I'll post anyway. By the time you see it I may have already demolished it 😉😉😉

yes.

I'm following the fashion for LEGO books.

Casa Blanca Lego Architecture Studio House with pastel coloured landscaping. • Casual photos for now - I plan to upload formal photos with a “proper” backdrop.

Finally digitized this creation. It has a few more fixes, namely a more clear interior, folding fins, better guns, and rear landing gear. The arms also move up and down at the shoulder area slightly but I forgot to animate that. There are instructions for this model here: rebrickable.com/mocs/MOC-47640/TheRealBeef1213/prowler

After 10+ months, I finally decided to give building this a shot, turns out I could build it(with some minor color changes and tweaks) adn the best part is that this one is freestanding, no tricks required!

This Megalith is in scale to the Monkeylord(yes it really that big) and features all the details as seen in the game. It can even 'Build' Bricks out of it's Butt.

At some point I'm going to recreate this picture.

Here's my latest build, and it's a big(ish) one. 128 studs long, this is by a handful of studs the longest thing I've ever built, although it's only microscale. It's amongst the flimsiest too, but those that know my builds will be unsurprised by that...

The reason for the flimsiness is that each of the modules can be removed, which means that the connection points are only 3 axles and a clip/bar connection. It's... not ideal. So it won't last very long on my shelf. I did quite enjoy taking it apart and making a couple of smaller ships with some of the modules removed.

It was fun to build, and that's the most important thing. The entire concept came to me as soon as I saw those sand blue quarter-rings in the space station set, and I thought, I must put those to use. The idea I went with is that everything on them can be unpacked to start a colony. Many years ago I made a smaller version of a colony ship, also with a spinning ring. Believe it or not, that was flimsy too.

After the rings, I made the cargo section, which strained my patience both in creating a triangular frame that didn't implode in on itself (it did, several times) and also making almost 70 little crates to populate it. There's some fun references to other themes scattered about though.

The rest of the modules came together fairly painlessly, but I spent a lot of time revisiting them until I was completely happy with them. Sure, there's room for improvement, but each module went through several revisions, except for the engines, which I did last and was pleased with almost immediately. Got to have the glittery purple power source!

More pictures to follow at some point next week. I'm not sure how much editing they're going to need, if any. Hopefully none, I just threw a sheet down and waited about a month for a sunny day. And here we are. Hopefully the creases aren't appallingly noticeable but I had to keep moving the model to get different angles and didn't notice (or care) how much the sheet had gotten rucked up.

So, yeah. Space. Let me know what you think.

When the war came to the Antarion IV, the factories became a significant target for heavy bombers of the enemy faction. As a result, each factory was upgraded to defend itself and ultimately the factories on Antarion IV became as heavily armed as the war machines they produced.

An older MOC (was at Bricks Cascade in March), but finally took a picture of its final setup with all three characters and a tank.

A MOC, made in 2008, that I created for the Mini Castle Contest. Represents the Jason's Argo. You can see how I build it in this link: www.brickshelf.com/cgi-bin/gallery.cgi?f=345644

It's outfitted with a mechanism that allows it to sink, becoming totally hidden.

I wanted to get a better version of this up, since I got a red clip, and made a minor adjustment. Now I am satisfied.

Hurrah for Cowboy Bebop.

I found these picturs of an old creation, I rarely do microscale but that one time I did I think I did a good job. Although I have no Idea how I accomplished these pictures, notice how the steering wheel part reflects light and the general play of light and shadow. I'm sure this wasn't intended at the time I took these pictures. Nevertheless I like the result :)

The Almen is a newer version (B variant) of the Adeiffen-Class Heavy Battlecruiser.

Spaceship of the Adeiffen-Class Ultra-Heavy Battle Cruiser

Affiliation: Jixnor Democracy, Concero Republic

Manufacturer: Jixn Shipyard

Length/beam/draft: [scale???]

Armor/shield level: /Class 3

Sublight engines/lightspeed engines:

Sublight speed/lightspeed:

Range: 477 days or 210 days with two Marine Groups.

Crew: 675, plus 1,450 pilots and fighter craft service personal, plus two Marine Groups with 2,500 men each, or a total of 7,125 men.

Armament: 576x 1in laser cannons, 48x 3in laser cannons in double turrets, 24x 32in Hinton laser cannons, 4x burst laser cannons, and up to 1,000 fighter craft (200 are emergency defense fighters).

The Adeiffen-Class Ultra-Heavy Battle Cruiser is arguably the strongest warships in the galaxy and was the Concero Republics strongest vessel until the Tramendant-Class Battlecruiser. Its original design dates back to the First Piracy War when UPS forces (Union of Planetary States) called for a large battle cruiser capable of launching at least five-hundred fighter craft into battle. Jixn Shipyards jump at the chance to build such a ship. However, the Jixn Shipyard design was declined by UPS forces, and instead they went with the battle tested Tronde Shipyards new [name] battlecruiser. The Adeiffen design went into the “designers vault” and there it stayed for almost a century. During the Second Piracy War the Jixnor Democracy realized that it was lacking a true, modern battle cruiser capable of flagship status – so it called its most trusted shipwright, Jixn Shipyards, to manufacture a large battle cruiser. Jixn Shipyard struggled to find a design capable of accomplishing everything the Jixnor Democracy called for. After many agonizing weeks of failed designs and sleepless nights the Jixn Shipyard board of design, in desperation, began looking at all its failed and past designs in the “designers vault” and stumbled onto the plans of the Adeiffen-Class battle cruiser. Jixn Shipyard greatly changed the ships interior, but did little to the exterior except add four burst cannons and addition point defense systems. The century old Adeiffen was an amazingly modern design.

The Adeiffen-Class has the amazing capability to carry over one-thousand fighter craft and their pilots. This is all due to the Adeiffens large hanger bay that runs almost the entire length of the ship. This impressive amount of fighter craft gives the Adeiffen an enormous advantage over the conventional battle cruiser. But the large hanger bay and numerous fighters do come at a cost of decreased fire power and power in general, and more facilities are needed to house the pilots and service crews for the fighter craft. The large amount of fighter craft also call for a large control center to insure all one-thousand fighter craft are use efficiently and run smoothly. Thus the Adeiffen has a second bridge located toward the bow of the craft, right above the hanger bay doors. This second bridge is larger than the primary bridge and is used exclusively for fighter craft purposes.

Like all Jixnor warships the Adeiffen has exceptional maneuverability, a fast lightspeed engine and slow sublight speed. It does however, lack two of the key staples of many Jixnor warships, the ability fly in an atmosphere, and missile tubes. The Adeiffen was the most maneuverable battlecruiser until the America-Class Battlecruiser (which really was a mini-battlecruiser and not a true battlecruiser). The Adeiffen could run circles around older Trynin warships, and was more maneuverable than most Trynin frigates. One of the reasons for the Adeiffens exceptional maneuverability is due to its external engine braking systems which can redirect the ion thrust up to ninety degrees and with the help of magnetic thrust vectors it can redirect the ion thrust up to one-hundred thirty degrees. These thrust vectors allow the Adeiffen to have a high reverse speed.

The weapons aboard the Adeiffen are formidable to say the least. Twenty-four Hinton cannons all effectively positioned to provide an pure fire arc give the Adeiffen no blind spots to speak of – and as if that’s not enough the Adeiffen has over six-hundred point defense systems! The Adeiffen is also one of the first Concero Republic vessels that supports the new burst cannons without any modifications.

The Adeiffens two bow appendages house the battery banks, the communications array, numerous sensor arrays, and housing for up to two marine groups. The aft appendages house the engines, additional living quarters, and batter banks for the lightspeed engine. The appendages are vital to the survival of the vessel which makes them prime targets in battle; but they are more than adequately armored, and the Adeiffen can more than manage if one or even two are destroyed. Another amazing thing about the Adeiffen is that its appendages are easily interchangeable between ships. This allows heavily damaged Adieffen-Class vessels to be repaired rather than scrapped, it also allows for faster repair time. It does however allow for some colorful mismatches and since most Jixnor captains are zealous when it comes to their ships many Adeiffen-Class vessels, when idol, are in a shipyard getting a paint job done.

Approximately twenty Adeiffen-Class Ultra-Heavy Battlecruisers were built and only two were destroy (but not forgot for the two destroyed vessels were stripped of their appendages which serve aboard other Adeiffen-Class vessels). Only two subgroups were manufacture, the Adeiffen-Class Ultra-Heavy Battlecruiser which is the one being described, and the other the Amaffen-Class Ultra-Heavy Battlecruiser. Nineteen Adeiffen-Class cruisers and one Amaffen-Class cruiser were built. The Amaffen is a slightly larger version of the Adeiffen and feature over twelve-thousand fighter craft, a class four shield generator, and eight additional Hinton cannons; it also feature a more efficient power supply and an upgraded electronic systems. The Amaffen served as the Jixnor Democracy’s flagship during the entire Agronomic War but was replace by the Rander (a Tramendant-Class Battlecruiser) once the war ended. However, in the event the Rander is called upon by the Concero Republic, there is no doubt that the Amaffen will once again serve as the Jixnor Democracy’s flagship.

An Adeiffen-Class vessel has served in every single battle during the Agronomic War, including both Battles of Blandimen and the invasion of Est Fellen. It served the Concero Republic well during the Agronomic War and there is no doubt that it will continue to serve the Jixnor Democracy and its allies for years to come. The Jixnor Democracy is currently updating the current fleet of Adeiffen-Class vessels with new electronics and more efficient power supplies. There are even rumors that the Jixnor Democracy plans on increasing the Adeiffen fleet from eighteen vessels to forty-eight! The Adeiffen will no doubt be around long enough to squelch whatever adversary crosses the Jixnor Democracy!

It's been awhile since I built a microscale spaceship. They're great for when you don't have a lot of time to build, but want to get something accomplished. They're also great for using small, but really cool looking pieces.

I built these border segments to provide a clean edge to my Micropolis display. Built for Bricks by the Bay 2020 virtual convention. See brickpile.com for more.

This is probably my favourite. The colour scheme is based off the 2014 Ferrari, so none of those white barcode stripes this year. The HF armour shells really make this shape interesting, I'm rather pleased with how I was able to integrate them. I also managed to sneak some car doors in. Also, yay for that charity shop haul I got last year, managed to reuse some of the stickers. Sorry they're all peeling.

I've been doing some design work in a sci-fi setting. When I got to designing starships, I couldn't help myself. There should be three more of these up in the next few days unless I decide to build a bunch more!
