The Gnobo planetary forces come with a fearsome reputation. Recruits are trained for months in the mountain ranges that criss-cross their home planet; they are at home fighting on unwelcoming terrain. They are moulded into proud warriors who rarely give up or give in. The TAV-6 (Tracked Armoured Vehicle) exemplifies this fighting style and spirit.

The vehicle's torque, power and adaptability stem from its four independent drive tracks. These allow the TAV to traverse a wide variety of weather and ground unimpeded. What it lacks in high straight-line speed it more than makes up for with its ability to manoeuvre at pace.

The armour is thick and cleverly constructed; only the most advanced armour-piercing shells can penetrate in one shot. Like most tracked vehicles, however, it remains vulnerable on its underside to mines and other explosives.

The TAV is armed with the same fragmentation cannons as the S-91 Gun Skiff, meaning it can deliver significant damage on a variety of targets. The high-calibre guns are least accurate when targeting infantry, leading tank crews to request troops to 'close escort' the TAV. This usually involves four troops sat atop of the armoured shell to protect against enemy infantry. This is considered a plum assignment, as it means the escorting troops are saved many miles of marching across unfavourable terrain.

The first iteration (TAV-1) was deployed during the Gnobo invasion of Illayko territory, where its rugged reliability and thick armour gave the invaders an edge. A large number were destroyed from orbit during the Battle of Ompolor VII, the remainder were airlifted out ahead of the Illayko counter-attack.

Lots of fun bits in this; I'm kinda late to jump on the olive green bandwagon but I have to say that it's such a nice color to work with. This is the product of about a month altogether working on and off on it.

Thanks to -Tayasuune- for the column idea and some comments and criticism would be appreciated.

Should have been flying out to Florida this week for a family trip to Disney. Been planning it for two years. Obviously there are more serious things going on than me missing out on a family holiday, but it's still made me a little glum. Decided to try and capture a little Disney magic in bricks if I can't do it in person.

That theatre frontage was a pig to put together at this scale - still not entirely happy with it, but couldn't face looking at it any longer!

I am so feeling the microscale love right now.

A 1:125 scale ship. It has a full interior as always. Though there is space for the bed and toilet I don't have the pieces for them. This is also why the ship is blue not grey.

The landing gear retracts though not very well. there is also a engine room added from the cross section of the ship. It is removable to access the lower cargo hold.

The lower hatch is also there but it is kept closed to keep the 3 stud wide part of the ship and the 4 stud wide part of the ship together.

(Galactic Civil War Era) Used by the Rebel Alliance and many other dubious groups throughout the galaxy.

Just a slight variation on my earlier mini X-wing build really.

I'd been wanting to do some Alt Models from the 2013 Star Wars Advent Calendar, but had been distracted with other things. I realized I could build my micro scale AT-RT in brown from it and that's all it took.

I tried to squeeze as many builds out of it as I could.

Back (L-R): Heavy Weapons Clone Trooper (auto grenade launcher & flightpack), Republic cargo lifter, Imperial shuttle Tyderium, AT-RT, B-Wing

Center (L-R): Y-Wing, two Swoop Bikes, Heavy Assault airspeeder, Geonosian Cannon

Bottom (L-R): Mandalorian speederbike, General Grievous Starfighter (variation of set 9509-21 from the 2012 AC), landspeeder

It's been awhile since I built a microscale spaceship. They're great for when you don't have a lot of time to build, but want to get something accomplished. They're also great for using small, but really cool looking pieces.

Check out my latest microscale build, made for Tiny Masters Season 2.

Welcome to Hogsmeade!

It includes all the main features of Hogsmeade; The Three Witches, Honeydukes, Zonko's, The Boar's Head, Tomes and Scrolls, and last but not least the Butterbeer wagon!

Wish I could have spent a lot more time on it, but I was really pressed for time. I want to add a few more things in but I am happy with the result regardless.

Another load of firsts for me with this build, it was great learning experience.

Thanks for following me along with this project :D

Originally was building these for the LEGO microscale contest over on LEGO Ideas, then was like "ah shit, the original soccer field has Adidas logos ALL over it and that's an immediate IP violation, but I'm on to something here, so let's see it out".

This build is microscale versions of the LEGO Soccer sets 3403 (Fans' Grandstand with Scoreboard), 3405 (Blue Team Bus), 3407 (Red Team Bus), and 3409 (Championship Challenge). I've done very little in terms of microscale MOCs, so this was a fun challenge.

Just fiddling around with a Cold War-esque mecha. Started out as being for Mobile Frame Zero, but it is a little too large (in my view, others might not think so.) Still in 7-plate scale, though. Based loosely on the skeleton of this.

The L27 mobile anti-tank gun was introduced into British service in 1959, primarily to provide rapid anti-tank capability against Soviet forces attacking through the Fulda Gap.

Armed with a slightly updated version of the WW2 era 6-pounder Molins Gun and a folding-fin version of the Malkara missile, the L27 was intended to replace towed AT guns operated by the Royal Artillery.

Although it never saw combat use in its intended environment, the vehicle was used in the Konfrontasi in Malaysia/Indonesia and during the Aden Emergency. In both cases, it was manifestly unsuited to the environments it was asked to work in. Some Australian units in Malaysia achieved slight success in replacing the 6-pounder gun with jury rigged cannon from disabled combat aircraft (most frequently the quad 30mm ADEN gun pack from crashed Hawker Hunters.)

Heavily upgraded in the 1970s, the unit received an improved sensor package (the valve technology sensor turret of the 1950s was rugged but bulky), the obsolete Malkaras were replaced with Swingfire missiles, and a Martin-Baker 0 0 ejection seat for the pilot was added. The last L27 squadron was disbanded shortly after the end of the 1990-91 Gulf War.

A small castle and village by the sea.

Built for the MCC over at Classic-castle.

Since I feel that real spacecraft, satellites, rockets and so on are a bit underrepresented in the Lego community, I created a group for MOCs related to astronautics:

I'm not a fan of mass invites, so please just join if you are also enthusiastic about Space!

I've already sent out a bunch of invites for photos to add to the pool, if you have some suggestions yourself there is a thread for that in the group.

These three trees are “blowups” (to actual Microfig scale) for a larger version of my Microscale Castle.

I enjoyed experimenting with different building techniques for each, and I think I’ve stumbled upon some original ideas. I especially like the asymmetrical structures of the two larger trees.

Inspired by the colonial viper from BSG. The 1 x 2 slope doesn't sit all the way down but does stay attached.

Professor Lidenbrock, Axel and Hans are on their way to the center of the earth. But the road is not so calm.

"Suddenly, at no great distance from us, an enormous mass rises out of the waters—the head of the great Plesiosaurus. The terrible monster is now wounded unto death. I can see nothing now of his enormous body. All that could be distinguished was his serpent-like neck, which he twisted and curled in all the agonies of death. Now he struck the waters with it as if it had been a gigantic whip, and then again wriggled like a worm cut in two. The water was spurted up to a great distance in all directions. A great portion of it swept over our raft and nearly blinded us. But soon the end of the beast approached nearer and nearer; his movements slackened visibly; his contortions almost ceased; and at last the body of the mighty snake lay an inert, dead mass on the surface of the now calm and placid waters.

As for the Ichthyosaurus, has he gone down to his mighty cavern under the sea to rest, or will he reappear to destroy us?" Jules Verne.

More microscale landscaping.

Had this idea for plam trees for a bit and was trying to think of a suitable setting.

The Island is modeled after the small baseplate from the original Pirate sets in 1989, but four times larger.

It's chonky and clampy.
