Trying out little 7p people ideas.

It's time for another LEGO Microscale Habitat!

As suggested by one of my viewers, here's a mini LEGO Volcano.

I'm still thinking about using a lighter blue for the sky, but at the end I'm pretty happy on how it turned out.

Do you think the lava effect turned out well?

Check out the video tutorial on my YouTube channel:

This is my Grandad's house rendered in LEGO on a micro scale. It was a present for him on Christmas 2013. :-)

I have many fond memories of Christmases spent here. Notice the striped lawns, the golden retrievers in the front garden, the half-tile brackets on the garage doors, and not one, not two but three chimneys!

A project I have been working on for a while occasionally. The battery box is hidden inside the hill and the small figure in the window is of course a minifig statue piece.

A group of ships of the United Nations Navy, including one Truman-Class dreadnought, and three Leonidas-Class battleships

These Eco-skyscrapers are an example of an emerging trend in architecture. Create environmentally friendly structures that reduce the environmental impact of new developments. This development features lush landscaping on the roof tops of the buildings as well as the two "sky bridges". There are numerous trees on the grounds as well as ponds and a community garden and solar panels.

Freighter MOC

This was a build challenge requiring a the front facade of a building set on the ruins of some older structure, guarded, with an animal and two civilians.

To that end, I have added a doomsday device and a giraffe.

Modern space-based navies strive to find a balance between starfighters and capital ships. Unlike with the BB-22, which was meant as an anti-fighter platform, the British Royal Navy designed a Frigate capable of engaging other capital ships of similar and larger sizes.

Armed with two underslung anti-fighter flak cannons to combat fightercraft, the Pennyroyal relies on it's three dual-cannon turrets to deal damage against similar-sized craft.

Thin and tall, with two engines for thrust and two to help manoeuvre around, the Pennyroyal is mobile and reasonably nimble. Although large at 160m, the ship can last for some time without resupply, and is a frequent sight patrolling colonies and trade routes on the galactic rim. Few pirate raiders can last a pound-for-pound tussle with the Pennyroyal, which have made it a firm favourite amongst it's crewmen.

However, with no fighter compliment or missile loadout to speak of, the ship can be overwhelmed by many small craft.

Length: 160m

Crew: 63.

Armament: 2 x flak turrets. 1 x double plasma turret. 2 x STS cannons.

Computer: Rolls Royce X-31.

A little bit of silly training (with the movie camera piece), got to stay fit XD

Washburn is the US capital city of New Kansas, Kepler System. True to it’s namesake, New Kansas is a fertile farming world from which a wide variety of crops are cultivated and animals raised. Settlements range from small, old fashioned farms to large, mechanised outposts of synchronised machines and technology.

Washburn is the hub for all manner of activity; business, education and pleasure. It is the port by which New Kansas feeds a large proportion of the Core Worlds. The city is home to several of the top biochemical and veterinary colleges of their kind. A giant spaceport sits on the outskirts of the city, big enough to accommodate the larger interplanetary barges for the transfer of crops and livestock. There is also quite the lively nightlife; most of these bars and cantinas centre around the American Cool Revival trend. They feature music and décor reminiscent of American days gone by.

There exists a quiet acrimony the settlers who reside solely within Washburn and the more isolated farmers. The latter consider their city-based fellows stuck-up and pretentious. The former consider the farming population crass and uncultured.

The city is home to the New Kansas Senator, when she is not involved in democratic discussions back on Earth. Although officially neutral during the Pan-Eurasian War, several of the large farmers sold food to the under-siege Coalition population of Kepler II. One side of the story paints the farmers as saving the lives of starving children. The reality was that rich agricultural groups made huge profits breaking a neutrality clause set by the government. The US investigation into the food smuggling found no person or organisation culpable is considered a whitewash by the Coalition.

It even fits in a holiday bauble!

The Tower of London: The White Tower

With a minifig like that it had to be done! I made a couple of these as presents for my mother and mother-in-law.

What's been going on in Joe´s Garage lately? What's with all the boxes? Why is Joe staying up late at night? Joe is just about to show every one what he's been working on for the last three years.

This... is... Betty! Wroom! wroom!

After burning down the gate, we still saw no signs of buildings and such. We spread out and in a hour had located the base of operations near the middle of the fenced off space. We had finally reached our main objective, the end of the mission was near but yet so far away. I thought of a plan, and we began to work it out. Slick sniped the droid guards at the gate of the little community, and then Hoss, and Fluke raced forward and completlely massacred the droid garrison with the combinged efforts of laser minigun and flamethrower. Meanwhile Jak, Tak, and I broke through the fence near the generator complex of the base. The whole base was in complete uproar with some alien and human mercenaries pouring out of a black tent, Hoss and Fluke had their hands full. After we got through the fence we snuck inside the generator building and planted a few thermal detonators in strategic areas. Just then the ringleader, followed by a few droids, burst through the door and shot Tak in the arm. We raced out of the generator complex knowing it was going to explode in a few seconds, taking the ringleader and her guards up with it. Just in time we made it, and the complex blew sky high. A few minutes later the whole base was on fire, the hangar which housed the spice crates, the water and communication towers and the multiple houses and tents, were all burning and blasting like fireworks. We managed to get out alive, with a wounded Fluke and Tak in tow. Later that day we were picked up by a shuttle and we took the Dewback that we had liberated as well. I relaxed, content with the knowledge that our first mission was complete.

Enjoy!

I have two unicorn sets, both from my childhood. The one this is based on, and a little blue garage my Grandpa got me. One day I'll own mint versions of them. For now, "Space. I'm in space!"

a bit of progress on the dam

Whenever I am bored, I build a microscale Star Wars ship :)

It's not exactly to scale with my micro Slave I, but, hey, it's close enough.

I'm not entirely happy with how the thrusters turned out — those black dales bricks were the best solution I could come up with. I also think they're a bit short.

Favorite part use is the minifig microphone used as an astromech head!

Ever since I first saw Ulrik Hansen's wonderful Copenhagen model (www.flickr.com/photos/ulrikbrick/albums/72157686587763290), I've been playing with the idea of using those techniques... so here's a small attempt at that. Of course it's Billund and it's 1954 because a map is available (map.krak.dk/?c=55.731508%2C9.114313&z=18&l=historic) and it will be easy to expand even in parts of the town not covered by the usual photos. I went for muted colors because all I have as reference are black and white photos and that black and white map. Also white buildings look great, in my opinion!

A huge thanks to Ulrik for the idea and the cool techniques!

My first entry in "Mi-Fi" - Microscale Sci-fi LEGO contest. The purple colour chosen for the background is there to remind the real colour of the track in the movie :-)

Shark Interceptor

Here is what I'll call my first "official" MOC.

Forgive the poor photography and editing... also my first attempt at photographing Lego and editing with GIMP.

Let me know what you think, feedback is appreciated.

A racing frame, converted to experimental “pocket Gunship” for whenever a mission calls for a ship smaller than the ISS Chūrippu is too large.

Yeah the connections with the cannon part get pretty ugly ... luckily it has lots of technic openings :)

None of the wheels turn, and the train cars aren't really coupled together, but they sit tightly on the tracks (which are exactly two bricks/six plates apart, as are the edges of the wheels).
