One of the joys of living in a log cabin in a forest is some native animals do not realise you are not a tree still so they figure it is their right to nest in the tree we call home. Every year we get the odd tree bat or micro bat i believe it is called move in for a while - tiny fellows that only come out at night .This one was on a log just below the ceiling , I taped a torch to the tele lens so it could get enough light to auto focus then used an external flash to light it up. these are the best shots I have of its face so far - love the channels in the ears (profile shot) that little claw on its foot.About the size of a swallow
Micro 110 camera (possibly originally made by Haking/Halina). Fixed focus 20mm lens, single aperture and shutter speed. Folding plastic viewfinder, originally came with a coin keeper in the shape of a 110 cartridge and key chain.
This group of tiny vehicles covers quite a bit of pop culture ground. Pop culture pop quiz, hot shot: Can you name them all?
Project - ART
"As Alive, As Uncertain"
By Neetu Roy and Ella May Rackham.
The showcase for the Micro Commission for art is took place on Saturday 6 Sept 2014 in the Cornerhouse Annexe.
The idea behind the art project came from the £500 that the two young people were given in order to realise their idea. They decided to focus on what others would do with the same amount of money. Armed with a couple of questions, a camera and a smile, they asked the willing inhabitants of Manchester to write their answers down and the result has been captured through photographs, portraits, and placards.
In the last weeks, I suffered from a broken toe. Therefore I only went for short walks and tried to discover as much as possible the microworld around me.

I was taking some pictures of this curly yellow flower when I noticed the microscopic insect that was sitting on it! So I begun to take some macro shots, many macro shots!
I was amazed to see it’s real shape after seeing the photo on the display!
I think it’s a sort of mini crasshopper… I don’t know…
