This is a "micro sculpture", done by Jesse Ferguson, who I met at Seattle Mind Camp (3.0) last weekend.
It's meant, if I understood things correctly, to bring to mind the sculptures from Easter Island.
The material is graphite. Packed graphite. Like you might find in a Pencil.
In fact, this particular graphite came from a pencil... Yes, that's right, this is the tip of a pencil, carved up. Hopefully that gives a sense of scale. In case not, I'd estimate that it's about 1mm wide by 3mm high, or so. On a mirror, so the rest is reflection.
Jesse carves these things using just naked eye and small tools, like pins and small blades and such. He also does other sorts of sculpture, which I imagine I'll add some shots of before too long.
Many thanks to my friend John Cornicello for the use of his extension tubes and macro focusing rail to allow me to get closer in to this stuff. I hope to own those items one day, but for now, I'm thankful for the loan.
My first micro scale fleet,I am thinking of make another one for these guys to fight. Please tell me what you think
Dragonfly is a dragon fly. But one thing that never stop amaze me through the micro lens is how intricate the design on the wing is. Perhaps the design, if studied closely, can be its fingerprint. It is indeed a magnificent God's creation.
It was after building this guy I realized that the multiple iterations of Brakken could actually serve a purpose in the backstory
I got the other micro Lalaloopsy I wanteed! :D I had to buy two before I managed to find her this time though, and ended up with the faceless one >< but I got her in the end!
Now if only my lens could focus properly |: the camera on my phone could probably do a better job... Doesn't help that I had no lighting I guess, stupid f5.6. x.x
I might stop the 365 pics thing ._.I don't see much point taking them if I end up taking a bunch of terrible photos cause I can't get everything set up how I'd like... D: Might need a new lens too...
only the cable on the left is a slimline style micro usb cable that works with htc and samsung phones

The micro fluff is the newest (and smallest!) member of the Pocket Fluff family!
This little one is about 1 inch tall and 1.5 inches wide.
He's made of a light pink faux fur.
His face was hand painted by me using artist quality acrylics and sealed with a matte varnish.
Pocket Fluffs are able to stand on their own. :)
The Pocket Fluff Monsters are made from my original design.
****Please Note:
The micro pocket fluffs are VERY small. I only recommend this size for adult collectors.****
Micro Machines Gepard in desert scheme (a generic sand colour with no markings).
This would be the counterpart to the M247.
