Address line A9 is needed to decode the extra ROM pages but is connected by a detatchable flying lead to enable easy removal of the extension ROM if desired.
The simpler logic chips have been labelled using the very useful 'Stickies' which sadly no longer seem to be available.
Also visible is the 'tippexed' out incorrect screen printed labels for the reset components. R11/C6
Wingspan 18-20 mm.
This species is often confused with Pyrausta purpuralis. Both can be bright purple with golden markings, especially when fresh, or brown with yellowish markings, especially when worn. The principal distinguishing feature is the arrangement of the postmedian markings on the forewing.
On P. aurata the only consistent postmedian mark is a round golden blotch near the costa, but there is usually a small golden mark between it and the costa. In fresh specimens, there is sometimes a thin indistinct wavy golden postmedian line between the round blotch and the dorsum.
On P. purpuralis the postmedian markings can form a continuous broad band, but it is usually broken into three substantial marks. The mark near the dorsum is always much more substantial than that, if any, on P. aurata, and turns towards the base of the wing as it approaches the dorsal edge.
P. aurata has two generations; in May and June, and again through July and August. It flies both during the day and at night.
The larvae feed on mints, including spearmint (Mentha spicata) and Apple mint (Mentha rotundifolia), marjoram (Origanum vulgare), Meadow-clary (Salvia pratensis), Lemon balm (Melissa officinalis), catmint (Nepeta cataria) and calamints (Calamintha spp).

Pyrausta aurata in Nederland
Deze opvallende soort komt in overgrote delen van ons land voor en vaak is de soort zeer algemeen aanwezig. Doordat de verschillende waardplanten vaak langs sloten, velden, in tuinen en perken talrijk aanwezig zijn heeft de soort zich sterk kunnen uitbreiden. In het begin van de twintigste eeuw was P. aurata heel wat ongewoner en was de verspreiding meer beperkt tot de zuidelijke delen van het land.
Herkenning
Adulten vliegen overdag in twee aaneen sluitende generaties, de voorjaarsgeneratie vliegt in april tot juni, de tweede zomergeneratie vliegt vanaf juli tot in oktober. De soort is kenmerkend, al zijn er verschillende soorten die sterk op elkaar lijken, zoals P. purpuralis. Deze soort heeft een meer paarse gloed, terwijl P. aurata meer roder van kleur is, maar kenmerkender is de smallere dwarsband over de ondervleugel met meer naar binnentoe nog een witte vlek bij P. purpuralis. P. ostrinalis kent een bijna zwarte ondervleugel, de vleugel kent een druk patroon door de helder witte lijnen en bleke stip zoals bij P. purpuralis.
Levenswijze 'biologie'
De eieren worden op de bladeren afgezet, meestal aan de bladonderzijde. De rupsen leven in twee generaties, de zomergeneratie leeft in de zomer in een klein spinsel waarbij de bladeren bijeen gesponnen worden. Het rupsenstadium duurt ongeveer twee weken, het popstadium neemt doorgaans niet veel langer als een week in beslag. De overwinterende generatie leeft op dezelfde wijze als de zomergeneratie, maar gedurende de winter overwinteren zij als volgroeide rups in een samengevouwen bladerenomhulsel waarnaar zij in april verpoppen. Uiteindelijke verpopping vindt plaats in het spinsel.
De rupsen zijn variabel van kleur, eerst bleekgeel van kleur, hierna krijgen zij blauwe en rode tinten. De rupsen hebben duidelijke zwarte wratten en kennen geen nekschild die afwijkt van de kleur van het lichaam. Op het nekschild ligt aan iedere zijde een zwarte vlek. Over de rug lopen twee lichtere banden met daartussen een weer donkere zenuwbaan.
Waardplanten of voedsel
Vooral op soorten munt (Mentha), zoals in Nederland vooral watermunt (M. aquatica), aarmunt (M. spicata) en appelmunt (M. rotundifolia). Ook op marjolijn (Origanum vulgare), veldsalie (Salvia pratensis), citroenmelisse (Melissa officinalis), wild kattenkruid (Nepeta cataria) en soorten steentijm (Calamintha sp.) (Goater, 1986a).

These are wonderful new designs perfect for turning into pins, jewelry, embellishments, and magnets. They can be blinged out with jewels, sequins, stickers, pearl drops, etc.
I stamped this design onto clear acetate with Staz-On ink. After fussy cutting it out I colored it with red alcohol ink. I then embellished it with micro holographic stickers and clear Swarovski stickers.
