Moon rise facing east & bit north of Mica Peak, Idaho. Gibbous waning 10-12 hours after full. The sky was very blue, then 5 minutes later the bright moon turned the wispy clouds to yellows & oranges. This year’s Hunter's Moon; the Beaver Moon; the Frost, Frosty, or Snow Moon; Sharad Purnima; and the Thadingyut, Hpaung Daw U, and Low Krathong Festival Moon. This full moon occurs when it is farthest from the Earth (apogee), thus a Micro Moon (the opposite of a "Supermoon").
Teeny Weeny, upside down hover fly feasting on a lily stamen.
Worth a double click zoom - I've upscaled it x2 so you could better see the pollen in his mouth though for some reason the upscale version on here doesn't seem to zoom any more than the normal version on my pc, so not much point :^))
I was simply trying to photograph the Lily when I decided to get a bit closer and see if anything turned up.....and of course, it did :^)

I found this young Drinker moth larva in the Autumn on a warm late afternoon. The larva was getting the last of the warmth as it prepared for hibernation. Even at this young age it raised its head as it sensed my presence, this is its defense mode.
Next Spring when it comes out of hibernation it will have to avoid the Cuckoo. Drinker larva is a favourite food of this bird.
Reflected in the dewdrop which is hanging down from one of my other plants is a potted tomato plant, and one of my house's windows. The dewdrop wasn't much larger than the size of a paper match head! Micro (macro) photo...click on it to view larger.
