You can see the puffy sleeves in this close up. I used an inch seam as they were rather full. The sleeves are gathered at the shoulder and at the cuff.

Recently I am crazy about shooting butterflies especially this kind of small sized species. Metallic Cerulean is one of the common butterflies in Taiwan. I met it during hiking with my dog.

Not sure what this flower is, but the lighting gives it a metallic look. The colors really caught my eye. I wanted to crawl right into it to snap this. I couldnt get close enough.

There are many times while I am walking around the central Oregon area, that I see a bright, metallic green bee flitting around the various wildflowers. Attempts in the past to photograph this bee has been unsuccessful. However, on July 3, 2013, I was in the right place at the right time and noticed for the first time, a metallic blue bee which joined the green bee. I have yet to ID either bee, but I was glad to get a photo of the insects. Photo taken at the sewage ponds north of Redmond, Oregon.

Metallic green sweat bees are a member of the genus Agapostemon. There are over 45 species of these green bees in North America. Mostly the green bees are solitary nesters, nesting in borrows that they dig under ground. Most green bees are not very aggressive and do not sting very hard......always something I'm grateful for! This is my 5th bug shot this week sorry :)
My brother's band, Metallic Assault. As a final project for school, they got to make a demo album, record in a studio and make 50 copies to sell. They asked me to take a photo of them to put in the booklet and so we went down to the harbour for some windy, tr00 metal photos. I originally took them all in colour and with flash, I think this was the only one where the flash didn't fire off, a complete accident. Of course, it wasn't until afterwards when I was starting to work on the pictures that I realized they wouldn't be printing in colour, so the pictures had to be in black and white. I tried turning a few into b/w, but it all looked so weird, especially with the flash - for b/w I preferred a grainy, dark look like the one you see here, which couldn't be acheived with the flash and its brightness and shadows.
So this was the one we picked, Hörður immediately liked it. It's very small in the booklet and contrasted up because of the low quality and all, but still looks pretty good.

They only have the two songs up, but I think they're quite good, especially Nihilism, where you can hear my brother read a poem by Feuerbacher in an Icelandic translation by Jónas Hallgrímsson. If you're interested in buying the demo (do it! It's cheap and you'll be supporting young Icelandic artists! ; ) ), Geisladiskabúð Valda will be selling them soon enough. Or you can also contact me or them and buy straight from the band.
Used a metallic blue nail polish as the base and then used the Konad system to add the dotted purple design on top with a metallic purple polish from Avon. Used Bundle Monster Plate BM 19.
I purposefully went for a haphazard look so they aren't all perfectly aligned. Wanted a sort of halftone inspired look.
