Loved how the late evening, diffuse light was reflected off these dark magenta petals - making them seem almost metallic.

This peony was grown by a friend who has a peony party every June so that folks can enjoy her gorgeous garden. Alas, I was too enamored with the light and her garden to note the name of this variety.
