This image contains a selection of exif metadata that are embedded from a json file using the exiftool utility.
It shows how Flickr, when such a file is uploaded, uses the metadata to automatically fill in informations such as title, description, location on the map, etc.
By filling in this metadata, it is also possible to specify the model of the camera and its lens when the photo is obtained from a film camera.
So, It is extremely convenient to be able to upload your photos without having to fill in this information by hand.
The metadata are registered in the picture by the simple command:
$ exiftool -j=detail.json picture.png

In spite of what's in the metadata, I took this with a Rokinon 8mm f/3.5 fisheye lens, which accounts for the distortion. The lens has a coverage of 180 degrees across the diagonal of the uncropped image.
Using IPTC metadata in Adobe Bridge, you can add copyright, authorship, description, and contact information to an image. You can even edit IPTC data on batches of photos at the same time.

Sammu intelligently applies metadata from text files to folders of images. You can edit the data at any time, even after it's been been published to Flickr.
I took this photo in the evening of September 19th 2009 * just a few hours after I watered and splashed these flowers. As you see particles of dust are almost everywhere (and that was a fine weather day!!!). This is just an example of how dusty this land is. The day before yesterday we had a fine weather (again by fine I mean clear and not dusty) and just at dawn the city was attacked by a dust storm. If I wash my car at night, I would have to clean the windscreen the next morning!!!
* When I’m adding a frame to a photo I’m losing the metadata coupled with it by the camera built-in program. Last time I thought it was the collage. Now it is only a frame! This is weird!
Another thing…the font of the title was meant to be like sand or dust…as if I was writing using sand. It looks blurry here while it looked crystal-clear on my PC screen? I’m a bit confused! Any idea?

I only have to drive a short distance to be up in the sandhills of Nebraska. It's much prettier in the summer and fall. You can see the snow we got Sunday is nearly gone already. It's suppose to warm up into the 50's this week but it's terribly windy today. At least the sun is shining and the skies are blue.
The quote is from an unknown source. The full quote reads, "Knowing when it is over is the beginning of a new life and the end of the old one." This could apply to broken relationships, I suppose. But aren't there many times in one's life that we tend to hang on to the old - the familiar - when we should be moving onward and upward to the new challenges that await us.
