Some photographer's metadata: I had followed this limpkin as she walked down the trail with her two fuzz-ball chicks trailing her. She eventually veered into the shrubbery with the chicks right behind her. But in a matter of seconds she had emerged at the top of this nearby bush and given me this pose. Photo taken at Circle B Bar Reserve, a wetland reserve near Lakeland, Florida, USA.
The Limpkin (Aramus guarauna) gets little credit for the beauty it adds to the marshes and swamps of Florida. It measures about 26-inches (66 cm) from beak-tip to tail-tip and has a piercing, repeated wail or song that often disturbs the peaceful atmosphere of the marsh. But I have learned to love their song anyhow because . . .

Photographer's metadata: We were driving through the Anza-Borrego Desert near Borrego Springs, California, when we passed this group of mailboxes hunkered down in the shade of a tree. As we passed it, I only caught a brief glimpse of the scene, not a sharp framed mental image. I turned my car around and headed back to see if it was worth taking a photograph. The photograph shows them in their effort to seek refuge from the relentless heat . . . my 'post-camera image management technique' has allowed me to present it as I first saw it at a glimpse. (FA)

Ft. Funston is a wonderful off-leash area. It truly lives up to the city's patron saint, St. Francis of Assisi. All manner and sizes of dogs run and play off leash and there is nary a grumble. Ft. Funston rises above Ocean Beach.

When I first looked at this image try to add metadata tagging, I didn't even realize there was a lake in the capture. Then I saw it and the reflections. This is at Bear Lake just before heading up to Emerald Lake for a morning hike in Rocky Mountain National Park.
Screen Saver size 1920 x 1280 pixels for those that have been asking for one.

Quando sfoglio il mio album di fotografie, mi lascio attraversare dai ricordi. Cerco di farmi tornare in mente non solo l'immagine, di per sè, ma anche il contesto. Era caldo? Freddo? C'era vento? Si sentiva qualcosa nell'aria? Ero da solo? Che ora era?
E' davvero bello sentire -spesso- che tutte queste informazioni sono ancora lì, nella mente e nel cuore, come dei metadati nascosti nel tessuto cerebrale... e così, quando riguardo una foto, in realtà la sento di nuovo molto di più e più profondamente. La rivivo. Ed è solo mia. Quei metadati fanno parte di me, e anche se qualche volta cerco di raccontarli, non potranno mai essere vissuti.

Why data is more reliable than metadata.
In this particular case the metadata is also invisible from the publisher's perspective (similar to meta tags hidden away in the head of a template in a CMS), thus when the content is updated, it inevitably gets out of sync with the metadata.

A 360° panorama of the late winter and early spring sky with an arc of aurora, from a latitude of 51° N. This was March 13, 2021, from home in southern Alberta.
This night there was a bright aurora across the northern sky, so I have oriented the view to place due north just right of centre. The Big Dipper is at right; Leo is rising at far right. The bright winter stars around Orion are at far left to the south. High clouds and haze, partly lit by light pollution here, add the natural glows to the stars, emphasizing the bright stars and constellation patterns. No filter was used here. The yellow arch at left is a band of cloud illuminated by light pollution.
This was a test of new panorama gear, using an Acratech Pan Head on top of a Alyn Wallace/MSM Z-Plate mounted to a Sky-Watcher Star Adventurer 2i tracker, to allow taking tracked segments for the panorama, to prevent star trailing. The Z-Plate allowed the Pan Head to mount and move horizontally and vertically in azimuth and altitude despite being on a polar aligned tracker. It worked!
The ground is a stitch of 8 segments shot with the tracker motor off, then blended with a stitch of 20 segments for the sky, in 3 tiers of 8 + 6 + 6 segments, all with the Sigma 24mm lens at f/2.8 and for 1-minute with the Nikon D750 at ISO 1600 for all shots. Stitched with PTGui v12 which at last saves camera metadata when exporting PSD files. The original is 25,600 pixels wide.

metadata is incorrect. the extension ring does not transmit the lenses and rings information to the camera.
Photo of the water fountain that fills the old public washhouse in the town of Palazuelos (Guadalajara province, Spain)
The day was cloudy and rainy, and the place was dark, but even though the light wasn't intense, just looking at the metadata it shows that with the maximum aperture, F1.2, good parameters and a very noticeable depth of field are maintained.
Once reviewed on the computer screen, small water droplets can be seen as some bubbles burst.

El día estaba nublado y lluvioso y el lugar estaba oscuro pero, a pesar de que la luz no fuera intensa, basta ver los metadatos para comprobar que con máxima apertura, F1.2, se mantienen unos buenos parámetros y una profundidad de campo muy notoria.
Una vez revisada en la pantalla del ordenador se observan pequeñas gotitas de agua al reventar algunas burbujas.
