This blue gate have always attract me by the mess that the plants and flowers do during the Spring and Summer.
Pink and white bougainvilleas blooming and mixing above the gate, hydrangeas inside the gate in the same situation. And the Crown-of-Christ forms a hedge throughout the property, extending for a few kilometers by the side of the road.
It has an air of abandonment and I imagine it must be a property for holidays or weekends, but I like to see nature showing off without interference.
Sorry for the bad focus. The day was cloudy at the time and I was in the other side of the road.

Thank you for the kind comments I received yesterday about my daughters housing predicament, they have a viewing today so I’m sure the positive karma can only help. On my first dog walk on the heath I noticed one of the fields on the top had lovely patches of red poppies, so on our first evening I ventured out at sunset to see if I could get a photo or two. Arriving at the field I could see it was only patches, it was a chaotic mess and it was obvious I wasn’t going to get a tidy composition. I then realised that my tripod wasn’t attached to my bag and was still in the car, but rather than give up I went with the flow and photographed as much of the mess I could get in the frame, I then tried to get something a little better composed. Now several days later looking at the photos for the first time going with the chaos just suits me fine and captures the mood of the evening.

The Beautiful Mess that is the world right now...we don't know quite where to draw our attention with the constant news cycle and sense of pain and suffering all around. It's difficult to focus on the beauty of things and the way the light comes through when you are consumed with it. Joy is an act of resistance indeed!
I watched Le Havre by Aki Kaurismäki last night (one of my very favorite directors) and I became a little more hopeful about people even though it's not a documentary. On Criterion Channel and highly recommended.
