Pura Vida: Pure Life - Contextually, it means “Full of Life” “Purified life”, “This is living!”, “Going great!”
It is a tradition for race fans to write messages on the road with chalk to encourage the racers. This one written near the finish line speaks poigantly for cancer survivors who have gained inspiration from Lance Armstrong.
The irony. For this photo, I found this sign and then added trash (which was right next to it) to depict people's unwillingness to do something so basic as to pick up their own trash. My edits consisted of increasing the exposure on the background and when I shot the photo, I used a low aperture in order to focus on the sign.
Day 10 (07/22/10): Kevin received the funniest text message today. I just HAD to take a picture of it for future laughs.
Location: My room
the very first message on our new whiteboard! i found money while cleaning out my apartment and bought this instead of less important items like food.
I am on holiday on a canal boat in Cheshire. It has rained all day long and I have been stuck in the boat looking after Isabel for 5 hours while everyone else opened and closed locks in the rain. It is freezing. I look horrible, I'm cold, the bottoms of my trousers are wet. Mattgreen took this picture on his phone and it pretty much sums up my day! Hopefully the weather will improve for the rest of the week!
Message cupcakes for Jess. I made blueberry cupcakes filled with blueberries and topped with blueberry buttercream, dark chocolate cupcakes filled with strawberry and mango puree and topped with strawberry/ mango buttercream, and double chocolate cupcakes (I had a little accident and only 6 were left presentable). Oh well, it didn't stop a bunch of hungry teenagers from eating them. :P
P.S. Sorry for the bad photo. There wasn't much light.
