Tønsberg harbour on Saturday, May 18. Like about half of everyone we got reminded just a little too late that most stores close early the day before Pentecost (Pinse), so we had to find one that didn't to get our groceries for the weekend. And apparently half of everyone else had found the same one. On the outside it was like standing in line before a Taylor Swift concert¹, and on the inside it was like swarming through an anthill. Took a break afterwards down by the harbour to look at the waves and listen to the seagulls.

¹ Presumably. We've never been to a Taylor Swift concert, so I can only guess. I *have* however stood in line before a Nik Kershaw concert (yes, I'm that old), and that was an entry level ordeal by comparison. Again, still guessing. Your standing-in-line mileage may vary.

Huge wooden letters spelling out Make Poverty History were being covered in strips of fabric with individual messages written on them, to be hoisted up by cranes when complete.
