This is the Message Pump USB. It is an LCD backpack that is used to control an LCD with your computer over USB.
The Message Pump Serial is a TTL serial version. This version could be used to easily connect an LCD to an Arduino or other micro-controller.
Since Firmware v2, both the USB and Serial versions also have an I2C interface that you can use at the same time as the main interface. Not only does this give you more choices of how to connect it, but you could connect the Message Pump to two different devices at the same time !
Held during the Golden Week holiday, the Flower Candle Message display which takes place in Peace Memorial Park the evenings of May 3-5th provides a quiet, but striking contrast to the packed streets and noisy stages of the daytime Flower Festival.
It is a display of hundreds of candles wrapped in messages calling for peace in the Peace Memorial Park. It is an opportunity for the many visitors in town for the Flower Festivalto pay their respects to those who lost their lives in the A-bombing and its aftermath. It is a very pretty sight.

I met the Ciarmello's through a newspaper article. They found a message in a bottle in North Carolina. It was released off Barnegat Ridge in NJ. It was 39 years old. When I read the newspaper article, I knew that it was my deceased brother that released the message. News as it is, I contacted the reporter, another news article was written and the Ciarmellos contacted me to "take the bottle home" I drove to their home in Pennsylvania and that's how the story came to closure. Little Grace is holding the bottle. She is a wonderful child and smiled at me and knew I was going to visit. She presented me with the bottle with her energetic spirit. This is their portrait. I will never forget them or their miraculous find of a message in a bottle that is 39 years old. You can see the rest on my flickr site.

New for 2020 is Steltronic Instant Messaging. From any Focus workstation, you can send an instant message to the lane monitors and you decide how long it remains on the overhead LCD monitors.
For league secretaries, have the front desk send an instant message to the lanes stating a league meeting will take place in the lounge at 5:45 PM.
Snack bar employees can announce to the players on lane 24, “your pizza is ready for pickup in the snack bar.”

1.I have a box FULL of EXTREEMLY ripe plantains and don’t know what to do with them? Does anyone know what to do with mushy plantains?
2.I met what seemed to be a nice guy at the library a little over a month ago, we talked for about an hour and then he asked me for my number and email. I gave him my email and now I get about 15 messages a day saying “hey wat up”, “how r u doin”, “wat r u doing”, and “how r u”. Then he went and added all my female friends on facebook as his friends... Something I might expect from a child; but is this typical 26 year old guy behaviour? Could this in any way be normal?! I’m confused cause he seemed like such a nice guy and now he seems somewhat stalkerish… but I don’t know if I should ignore him cause maybe he’s just trying to be nice?

the long and well- awaited newton message pad which became a disappointment. yet it still functions. can read my handwriting (most of the time anyway and one can always bring up the keyboard on screen if all else fails and key in the word), tells the time in different countries, converts currencies. i am very fond of it and will keep it as an apple treasure.
Apparently (so I've been told) - the Polish construction crew hired to build the Hanseviertel (indoor) shopping area left a 'hidden' message in brick on the wall on the front of the building.
Standing in front of the wall, it's actually rather visible, with this picture you may have to enlarge.
