This is an old photo from earlier this year, but with plenty of rain this winter I am excited to visit new waterfalls next spring!
Mesmerizing sunset from the summit of Haleakala (house of the sun). Everyone was captivated by an Irresistible force.

Edit: taken during cherry blossom season yay. I know this isn't in focus but I like it anyway
A fun subject to work with is glass. For this picture I used a lamp which produces different kind of colours. The lamp was placed behind a white paper. In front of the white paper I placed three large wine glasses in a row. Because this picture was taken in the middle of the day next to a window, I placed a black cloth in front of the window to avoid any glare or reflection to get a minimalistic look.
In December we headed to Lenzerheide above Chur, a ski resort in the Swiss Alps. At night we went to the Zauberwald (Magic Forest), an event with outdoor art exhibit, food and concerts. This ever moving laser show was mesmerizing.
I processed a balanced and a photographic HDR photo from a RAW exposure, blended them, and carefully adjusted the color balance and curves. I welcome and appreciate constructive comments.

Black-crowned Night-herons love to hide in bushes. I love spotting them there. This one really held my interest.
If you’ve been following me for a while, you know I get mesmerized by the organic shapes I find along lakeshores. So interesting!

He was staring up at the mantel where we keep Pixie's ashes in a box. We think he was watching her ghost dancing along the mantel without knocking anything over.
The reason why I walked 15 km in the wild last night, all by myself during the midnight sun, on a place I'd never been before ツ
This impressive Alta Canyon were my goal, but there were so many amazing moments along the way too. Nice crooked birch trees to take self portraits by, large groups of cottongrass, blueberries and mountain flowers, nice reflections and rivers - all in the amazing light of the midnight sun. I also came across a bird of prey coming to its nest in a tree close to me, and its offspring flying around it.
I wondered how it would be to walk among all the large mosquitoes that are known in this northern part of Norway - but they obviously disliked my blood just as much as the small ones we have in the southern part of the country ツ There were many flying around and sitting on me when I stopped to take photos, but I didn't get a single bite (!)
Now we are back by the coast, and will go to Norway's fourth largest and really beautiful island tomorrow to photograph and enjoy fjords, mountains, beaches and the midnight sun.

Self portrait from Reine yesterday (by using tripod and self-timer).
Our first whole day in the Lofoten islands was great! We saw and photographed so many beautiful sceneries that we got really exhausted in the end. And it didn't help that we had stayed up half the night before to photograph the midnight sun ツ But when you're up here, you really don't want to sleep that much - there's too much beauty to capture 😉

An evening walk around the Artist Paintpots. Another fascinating area of Yellowstone. The mud volcanos here are particularly mesmerizing, I could just watch them bubble for a long time.
