You may say i'm a dreamer, but I'm not the only one...

On our trip to Yellowknife and the Southern Arctic in 2019, I was so fortunate to see and photograph spectacular Northern Lights for the first time. They were absolutely mesmerizing to watch. This night gave me a particularly stunning show as the lights swirled around in the sky. I wanted to try a time lapse the next night, but as luck would have it, they were very weak. Taken in Fort Providence, Northwest Territories. I was hoping for another trip this fall but COVID put an end to that. Hopefully next year 2021.
Thank you for your visit and comments. They are very much appreciated.
The "Jambeiros" are beautiful Malaysian trees, but they have acclimated so well to the conditions of the American tropics that they seem native to the land. In the North, Northeast and Southeast of Brazil, an orchard without at least one "Jambo" tree is rare.
The best known among them, the red jambo, or pink jambo (Eugenia malaccensis), is born in large trees, also with large leaves, whose crown has a pyramidal shape. This jambeiro, extremely ornamental, offers, at the same time, beauty, good shade and sweet fruits to the lucky ones who know and can dispose of it.
Its many flowers, beautiful and colorful with pink and lilac, when they fall form under the trees a carpet of beautiful effect.
The fruits, red on the outside and white on the inside, have a sweet taste reminiscent of pears but with a strong flower scent.
This picture is not as sharp as I would like, but the compact shade of the tree and the fact that the flower comes straight from the trunk made perfect exposure even at higher ISO difficult.
I used the Mesmerized pose by Gravity Poses - from the Herselfie gacha collection available at the Four Seasons event from 8th Jan.

My first attempt at creating bubbles. Taken through a rather dirty window, hence the texture.

This picture, taken a few years ago, gives a vague idea of the effect that many stamens have on the ground: a carpet tinted in vivid pink with a great visual impact.

The Lotus beckons I - where the lotus pond was shot.
Mesmerizing, ominous...some sort of invasion in our fields....only the cow seems oblivious to their looming presence. The scene caught my eye on a road trip through rural Missouri. Edited using Snapseed and Touch-Retouch.
Those golden eyes have a hold on my mind and I just can't seem to look away. I am transfixed by the beauty and intensity of this Short-eared Owl.

Mesmerized by the golden light over the Letaba river, Kruger National Park, RSA.
I wish you all peace and happiness.

We have a new addition to our little family! Meet Bumble (short for Bumblebee) the kitten! He’s so soft and has the sweetest temperament. He’s all black except for the very tip of his tail, which is white.
We’ve had him for just over two weeks. I wish I had a better photo to share with you, but this is the best I can do for now. He never stops moving, and when he’s still, he moves away when I get the camera out. I was able to get him to sit still for a couple of seconds with this groovy, blue (bokeh) ball. He was mesmerized! Wouldn’t you be? :))
Anyway, I will probably take this down later, but I just wanted to show you. 💙

Stamens spread under the crown and around the tree, invading other crops and even small fountains. Taken at Botanic Garden/ Rio de Janeiro
Another one from Mount Si, a bit up the road from the first. The fog is burning off FAST and the mountain is making it's appearance and having never been here before I was mesmerized.
Let me know when you get tired of these, I could go on for a while..... :-)

This shot is from a place from where I haven't been posting yet ! Quebec. This is Waber Falls from the Mauricie National Park Ok, it's not Iguacu or Niagara Falls but still, this is a very scenic waterfall with a big advantage : much less tourists than the two mentionned previously haha. Here's the reason : to get there you need to row about 4km (upstream because it wouldn't be funny otherwise !!) and then hike a few kilometers. It's not hard (but trying to carry you camera stuff on a kayak and not wet it is a bit harder haha) but accessing the waterfall requires enough time and energy to screen a loooot of people ! So okay, you probably won't be alone there but it won't be crowded (especially now since most people are back to school/work). It's definitely worth it !
I would love to go back there during the autumn to shoot this scenery with orange colors. I like this picture so I decided to share it with you guys but in my opinion it could have been better with a tripod... Because yes, I forgot one of the piece of the tripod in the car so I had to build a support with rocks in the middle of the stream in order to be able to do a long exposure shot. So please be gentle with the lack of sharpness in this picture ;)
I hope you'll like it anyway ! Feel free to comment or put it in you favorites, it's always nice to have a feedback ! :)
