Almost everybody has left. And the huge beach is empty…Shshshsh….There is an utmost colourful tranquility and silence, …. without !!!… And blessed serenity, within…
……….But, Nature was still performing its magical Palette and Light miracles those moments…..Because it had been lightly windy that day, and the cloudy sky-dancers were up … to creating in their own Artistic colourful mode…The spectacle was mesmerizing, like always in SUCH moments in Oostende!!!!…
Gokak waterfalls on the Ghataprabha river is indeed mesmerizing. The waterfall is shaped like a horse-shoe at the crest and the waterfall swells up completely during the rainy season. It is a feast for the eyes to see the reddish brown water flowing along, with the melodious dull roar as the waterfalls create.

The air was cold and crisp and the waves crashed loudly and I found it so incredibly beautiful and peaceful. I watched for a long time enjoying every minute not wanting to leave. I need ocean time again it’s been a while. There is something so healing about the ocean .
This is a cake stand I bought--not because I wanted to display a cake, but because I was instantly entranced with it! And it does double nicely as a cake stand!!

Captured in stunning detail, these vibrant daylilies (Hemerocallis) showcase nature's artistry at its finest. The rich crimson petals, adorned with delicate water droplets, create a mesmerizing contrast against the lush green foliage. The intricate ruffled edges of the petals and the golden-yellow throats of the flowers add depth and interest to the composition. This close-up view allows us to appreciate the subtle variations in color and texture, from the velvety petals to the slender stamens reaching out from the heart of each bloom. A testament to the fleeting beauty of these flowers, which typically last for just a single day, this image serves as a reminder to pause and admire the ephemeral wonders that surround us in the garden.

The view from atop the mountain Molyvos Castle was built upon. Amazing.
The mountainous views on either side of the castle are impressive enough, but the westward panoramic view of the Aegean Sea really steals the show. It dominates.
It happens every year..... they sit there and appear to go into a trance... no words. Well, usually no words .... but, then, Bernie will snap out of it and be on to other things or will be explaining Christmas stuff to the other guys....
This caught him off guard. I put on a string of new lights to see if 70 little lights on a string would be too much for a tiny columnar outside tree.... it wasn't. It was perfect. Today it goes out into the big flower pot on the porch...now to find something for the smaller pot....... well, smaller in comparison...it is still big....
He won't be happy when he sees I've posted a shot of him where you can see the tape on his "furs" as he calls it... he is quite vain about not having the tape visible.... sometimes he makes me take it off for a photo.....
Happy Teddy Tuesday
Some faint Mammatus clouds seen over Phoenix as the sun begins to set. The airplane gives scale as to just how big these clouds are.
A shaft of sunlight pierces the dark cloud cover illuminating the Wilson Creek watershed below Grandfather Mountain. Truly a sight to behold.

This is a composite image. I photographed the lunar eclipse in 2015 from my backyard, and was always kind of wondering what it could be used for. As it turns out, it's a great background for moody portraits. It fits nicely with the Barred Owl I shot earlier this year. You never know how things will come together. On the hike out to Dege Peak, we all stopped to gaze back at Mt. Rainier. At 14,416 feet, Mt. Rainier is the highest mountain in the state of Washington. It is called an active volcano that is soundly asleep. That seems oxymoronic but I like the sleep part.
"When I heard there was a mysterious creature of the deep I had no idea what to expect. Surely their words were folly! But upon seeing him there I couldn't help but feel so mesmerized."

I love the dichotomy of robots in nature—it just seems so polarized yet works with Iron Giant so well.
