Hooray, i awake from yesterday
alive but the war is here to stay
so my love catherina and me
decide to take our last walk
through the noise to the sea
not to die but to be re-born
away from a life so battered and torn....

every inch of earth is a fighting nest
giant pencil and lip-stick tube shaped things
continue to rain and cause screaming pain

as our feet find the sand

During a business travel in Munich I took my camera with me - I bought my Pentax DA* 55mm f1.4 a couple of days before and this was one the first available light shots without tripod. I was amazed about the lens being capable to take these kind of pictures with that low available light ... love this lens and the merman picture :- )

This sexy merman is waiting for his loved one, with a fresh picked fragrant rose. He has a beautiful hot pink fishtail and silky long brown hair.

Legend says that the Merman was caught in the nets of a local fisherman in the year 1530. He was so charming that all the young ladies of the village wanted to spend their time with him. The men were jealous and decided they would have to find a Mermaid for him. When they found a Mermaid they struck a bargain with her - every time they went fishing they would throw the first fish they caught back into the sea for her if she would take the Merman back out to sea. When the Merman heard the Mermaid singing he couldn't resist her and slithered quickly to the sea and was never seen again. To this day, fishermen of Skinningrove throw the first fish caught back into the sea.
The Kentucky Center for the Performing Arts (Louisville, KY) presented The Very Worst of Varla Jean Merman in the Bomhard Theater.
