Here’s my hand sculpted ball jointed mermaid Allan doll sculpted from polymer clay called living doll. What started out as an experiment in making clay molds of vintage dolls ended up in a very lengthy sculpting project in seeing if I can make a 1/6th scale merman with a jointed tail.
Lol my grasp on human anatomy is a bit awful, but I like to think for my first fully jointed BJD I did a pretty decent job. Doing this definitely helped me work out a lot of questions I had with sculpting a bjd from scratch including how to make a decent jointing system.
I won’t make this body available to purchase since if I did I would need to refine the heck out of this body before committing to have him cast and potentially deal with a lot of money which isnt something I can commit to yet.
I debated whether or not I should add extra paint detail to this tail but after my Galaxy Centaur custom, I realised too much paint detail would just make me handle this doll less lol.
I’m also really happy I got to do a sleeping face up since I’ve been wanting to do more but haven’t found the right doll to do so. I’ve also body blushed him but I guess it’s super subtle cuz photos don’t really showcase it.
Anyway, I know he’s not perfect but for my first bjd sculpt I’m pretty happy with him lol.

An example of why their marriage crumbled soooo fast! .... When Ethel came back from an audition, she said to Ernest "The director loved me....he said I had the body of a 16 year old and the face of a 21 year old" .... Ernest replied "What did he say about your 60 year old cun-t?" To which Ethel replied "He didn't mention you" .... a witty retort Ms Merman!

I´m glad you can remove th Necklace and Cuffs.
I hope he is not the last Merman from Mattel.
He told us to bury him. We did, and then took it to the next level. He was originally covered up to his neck in sand, but then complained that it had gotten much to hot.
The year since He-Man and Skeletor's death has not been kind to Mer-Man, though he did conquer the seas.
I FINALLY deboxed him. This one came in a badly damaged box so it was the perfect excuse to free him from his cardboard cage. I still have another one that I'm keeping NIB for my in-box collection.
I'm not sure whether I've mentioned this here before, but this merman was the main reason I joined the barbie signature membership on the Mattel Creations' site few years back.
I know his design is relatively simple considering his $100USD price point, but I still really adore him - I love how masculine his sculpt is, and he literally shines like golden treasure out of box. I'm in love for sure <3

A merman bartender Christmas ornament that I got in Montreal while visiting at Christmas with my friends Will and Mary.
The west face of the choir screen has upper & lower carved panels; the upper panels depict the 4 evangelists & Moses & God in shell-like semicircles. The carving is unexcelled & extremely well preserved. Here St. Luke with his ox & his book. He's doing the splits.

She had a lot of work since Cray bought huge chunks and Hulks at Harry’s second hand galactic enterprises and sons GMBH…
But what this know-it-all wiz-kid didn’t know was that a Zentradi mothership sewer was not made to connect well with a stormtrooper shuttle WC…
…and a Klingon pipe was incompatible in all ways with a Eldar wraithbone tube…
…so the was a lot to do these days when cray expanded the ship by a million football fields a day…
…that pompous little brat thought he knew it all, but when it came to plumbing he was still at the level of the Nijago Turtles, just a user…
This is what went through her head as was working away trying to get an ork gargant pipe to seamlessly pass in to a wookie wooden pipe…
She had to make them connect just behind that alien in a bacta tank…
