Monolithic mass of Chicago's Merchandise Mart, built across two entire city blocks in 1927-31 for Marshall Field Department Store. Designed by the Chicago architectural firm of Graham, Anderson, Probst and White in what is often described as an Art Deco style. The central tower and the smaller octagonal corner towers have some deco detailing and the setbacks offer some visual relief but the overall effect remains brutish to my eyes. For ten years it was the largest building on earth (until the Pentagon took the title). More of a fact of life than a building to inspire affection.
The Merchandise Mart (currently branded as theMart), designed by Graham, Anderson, Probst and White, was the largest building in the world at its opening in 1930. Its 4 million square feet of floor space is located at the junction of the Chicago River's branches. Built by Marshall Field & Co. and later owned for more than half a century by the Kennedy family, the Mart centralized Chicago's wholesale goods business by consolidating architectural and interior design vendors and trades under a single roof. My grandfather, a ladies’ undergarments salesman, had an office here for many years.

Waking the Feminists held a second mass meeting today (Spring Forward) in Dublin to bring their followers and supporters up to date with progress and achievements so far. The meeting, timed to coincide with International Women's Day, was held in Liberty Hall and was packed to capacity.
Moekanji also includes official collaboration cards - these ones with Yuzusoft and Super Sonico.

Merchandising dedicated to Gundam never ceases to amaze us. The Moleskines inspired by Gundam could be considered, and perhaps are, a luxury but it is a whim of those that can be safely taken off.
You can find the Moleskine, in two versions, blue and yellow, in the limited Edition section of the Moleskine website.
I designed these cards so that the illustrations could be used on toilets ^^;
