Summer McCracken of Anna, Ohio has been awarded the Richard Bere Scholarship for the 2014-2015 academic year. A 2013 graduate of Anna High School, Summer plans to pursue a career in recruitment and hiring for an agribusiness company.
The Richard Bere Scholarship, open to Agribusiness and Applied Economics majors at Ohio State, is awarded on the basis of scholarship, leadership, and potential contribution to the agricultural industry. It is one of several scholarships made available by agribusiness firms, individuals, and agricultural organizations for students interested in agribusiness, farm finance, agricultural marketing, farm management, and closely related areas.

McCrackens Rest is a lookout and rest area on the Southern Scenic Route overlooking Te Wae Wae Bay. Perched on the edge of the cliff you can enjoy commanding views out to sea, right across the bay to the hump ridge and mountains beyond.
One of those places everyone must pause their journey to take a moment to take in the views, and of course to take that classic travellers' photo in front of the sign.
