Max drove up from NC to trade wheels with Marcos today. Then we went out for a quick shoot out in the cold.
Hard too believe that Max is 14yr's old and Piper is just about 6 months. I'm having a photo workshop here on Sat so needed to test my lighting.
This was a fun picture I took...long exposure while laying on the ground with Max wandering around me as I tried to take sunset shots! I couldn't do this again if I tried, but it turned out so fun!

Strobist info: Since the sun was setting behind us at camera left, but I wanted to light Max evenly, we scrimmed the sun falling on him with a 3x6' Westcott Scrim Jim & 1-stop diffusion fabric. Then, an Elinchrom Ranger Quadra through a 100cm Deep Octa was boomed camera left, but enough to get light onto his face. I used a Variable ND filter to keep my shutter speed at 1/125th while keeping the background exposure in-line.
