On Saturday, May 30, 2015, 6th grade MathCounts Team students had a field trip to Niagara Falls. They visited Niagara Falls where you can see, Great Lakes Garden, Maid of the Boarding, Picnic Area, and Luna Island. The next day was rainy and we didnt visit many places but the students enjoyed their two day trip and had a chance to have a great time to spend with their parents.

Math Zoom students visit Hollywood Boulevard

Feb 26, 2016 - Approximately 520 mathletes competed in the event that was hosted by the Northeast Florida Engineering Society and held at the University of North Florida. The top four individual finishers and top six teams from the Regional MATHCOUNTS will move on to represent Northeast Florida in the state competition in Kissimmee in April. Three of the four individual finishers and four of the six teams advancing to the state level are from Duval County Public Schools. James Weldon Johnson College Preparatory’s Sri Meghana Kopparthi won the individual category for the second year in a row, while schoolmates Adit Saxena and Jeannie Wong were also among the top individual finishers. The five district teams moving on to the state competition are from: James Weldon College Preparatory, LaVilla School of the Arts, Julia Landon College Preparatory and Duncan U. Fletcher Middle School. Great job!

On Saturday, February 27, 2016, Syracuse Academy of Science Middle School MathCounts team which is formed by 7th graders participated in Regional MathCounts competition in OCC. Our team took 2nd place and qualified to participate in NY State Chapter competition. Congratulations MathCounts team players. Keep up the good work.

By the time the First Annual Plastic Platter of Pain Broadway Park Fuckin' Huck and Chuck Invitational Four on Four disc tourney rolled around, my knees were in pretty poor shape. So here I am, day of the tourney, at beautiful sunny Broadway park, ACE-ing up my gimpy knees. Nice. Oh and I miss my shagginess...a LOT
