Well hardly 'Mach 1'
This was an idea I had for my Macro Monday challenge of 'Matchstick'
I spent time crafting the rocket and setting up the shot. Thought I had nailed it and re-read the brief .... 'be sure the matchstick is the subject of the composition' which, in my opinion, is probably the rocket !!
So had to revert to one of my images taken the day before !!
Good for lighting things on fire. See the video.
Built for my Iron Builder competition with Bruce Lowell using the dark red fez piece.

GP60M's 145, 149 and 113 lead the Pasadena Local westward in Rancho Cucamonga, California on a cloudy Monday April 20, 2020.
I needed to get out of the house for a spell and knowing the local would be coming soon and Mondays usually mean a relatively healthy train, I waited for him. Sure enough, a clean three unit set of rebuilt GP60M's and 22 cars passed by me in short order following Metrolink #323 out of Kaiser Yard in Fontana. Only one of the cars is destined for Miller Brewing in Irwindale. That being a covered hopper load of malt. A TILX tanker with vegetable oil for another customer in Irwindale will be all that need to go that far. However, a tank load of chlorine destined for the Metropolitan Water District treatment plant in La Verne is also part of the trains makeup today. The rest of the box cars are for Pomona, full of paper products. However, the crew needs a decent "handle" to shove the chlorine tank up to MWD, so four or five of the box cars will go west of Pomona and be brought back to Pomona on the return trip.
A goalie watches play at the other end in the shadow of the new St. Paul’s Hospital, currently under construction.
This is a detail view of a giant machine for the industrial production of matches. It's on display in the Swiss Match Museum ('Schweizerisches Zündholzmuseum') in Schönenwerd.
CP 472 rolls into Bensenville with an eclectic mix of motive power on the day after Christmas 2014. A CSX GE and some CP stuff sandwiches a recently-retired Soo Line Milwaukee Road bandit MP15 taking the final ride eastward into Bensenville. Hopefully she'll find a new owner and continue to pull the freight.
