Saturday 6th February 2016 saw a Manchester City play Leicester City at the Etihad Stadium.
The Force’s photographer was on hand to take a series of images to be used in future safety briefings and also captured some images of the build up to the game.
The Manchester weather did its best to dampen the spirits of both sets of supporters and the rain poured constantly. Despite the inclement weather Leicester fans left the ground in good spirits after a win.
Policing the many major football games played in our region is a regular duty for many of our officers.

Apesar de ter salvo várias M&M na pasta de inspirações, descobri que não gosto tanto assim nas minhas unhas.
Fiquei meio surpresa porque costumo curtir em mãos alheias.
Queria uma ter feito uma mani mais discreta, talvez em tons de preto, mas fiquei de fogo para usar os Jades da minha prima e saiu isso aí.
Não ficou feia porém, não curti muito. Fiquei um dia com as unhas assim e me senti estranha.

Lovely night out with friends. I didn’t intend to wear all black it just came to get her at the last minute as I couldn’t match up a new cream mini skirt with the look I was after ♀️
Taken in front of the Urban Lights installation at the Los Angeles County Museum of Art (LACMA). I saw these two gentlemen by the installation and I absolutely had to take their photograph (with their permission, of course).

The Match Museum (Swedish: Tändsticksmuseet) in Jönköping, Sweden is one of the few museums of matches in the world.
It is located at the Tändsticksområdet, housed in Jönköping's first match factory.

( En novembre 2018 il assista et anima son dernier Wrestle World 4 .
Mais avant de nous quittes et faire de nous des 'orphelins' , il avait encore ecrit une derniere carte , un dernier show .
Alors en l'honneur de cet homme qui a realise ses reves et nous les a transmis , qui nous a enseignes son savoir et nous appelaient 'Mes enfants'' , le 6 septembre la BWS organise le show ' WILDMANIA ' en memoire de Mr Salvatore Bellomo.
Et comme il disait avant chaque debut de show
' Allez les enfants , amusez-vous et ne vous faites pas mal ! '

But before we left and make us 'orphans', he had written a last card, a last show.
So in honor of this man who realized his dreams and transmitted them to us, who taught us his knowledge and called us 'My children', on September 6 the BWS organizes the show 'WILDMANIA' in memory of Mr. Salvatore Bellomo.

A duo of SKM Trójmiasto EMUs, EN57-1729 and EN57-1759, as an SKM train of the special "S500" line number 55237 from Gdańsk Główny to Gdańsk Stadion Expo, is approaching the Gdańsk Nowe Szkoty passenger stop. Actually, this passenger stop has already been reached, but on the occasion of the modernization of the railway line no. 249, the stop was simply dismantled and the only remnant of it is the scary entrance to the underground pass. As far as I have observed, a similar fate shared other stops on the route (Gdańsk Zaspa Towarowa exists only as a historic platform without commercial purpose and with no access).
This train, like several others, was launched on the occasion of the football match between Lechia Gdańsk and Cracovia Kraków played on August 14, 2021 at Arena Gdańsk (if you're interested: Lechia won 3:0). Three trips before the match to the Arena (and three empty back) and three after the game back from the Arena, after the dusk. It is also worth mentioning that regular SKM Trójmiasto commuter trains have been running for several years from the Gdańsk Śródmieście terminal station located near Biskupia Górka, at Okopowa Street. And these extra ones destined to Gdańsk Stadion Expo have run from the dead-ended tracks at platforms of the Gdańsk Główny station, which are not used on a daily basis.

Duet jednostek SKM Trójmiasto, w postaci EN57-1729 oraz EN57-1759, jako pociąg SKM linii "S500" numer 55237 relacji Gdańsk Główny - Gdańsk Stadion Expo, zbliża się do przystanku osobowego Gdańsk Nowe Szkoty. W zasadzie ten przystanek został już osiągnięty, jednak przy okazji modernizacji linii kolejowej 249 przystanek został po prostu zlikwidowany i jedyną pozostałością po nim jest strasząca metalowa wiata wejścia do przejścia podziemnego. O ile zaobserwowałem, podobny los spotkał inne przystanki na trasie (Gdańsk Zaspa Towarowa istnieje jedynie jako zabytkowy peron bez handlowego znaczenia).
Ten pociąg, podobnie jak kilka innych, uruchomione zostały z okazji rozgrywanego 14 sierpnia 2021 roku na Arena Gdańsk meczu Lechii Gdańsk z Cracovią Kraków (Lechia wygrała 3:0). Trzy przejazdy przed meczem "tam" (oraz trzy służbowe powroty na pusto) oraz trzy "z powrotem" po meczu, już po zapadnięciu zmierzchu. Warto też wspomnieć, że o ile regularne pociągi SKM Trójmiasto kursują od paru lat ze stacji końcowej Gdańsk Śródmieście zlokalizowanej pod Biskupią Górką, przy ul. Okopowej, o tyle te specjalne do peronu nazwanego Gdańsk Stadion Expo kursują z nieużywanych na co dzień peronów podmiejskich stacji Gdańsk Główny.

I am always amazed by how well a Red-breasted Nuthatch blends into their local surroundings. Considering their size of about 4 1/2 inches long, it makes them very difficult to spot. They are always such fun to find and photograph. This one was having a little lunch when discovered, while working his way down the tree.

Dedicated to The swirling pit of despair (escape from)
I shot lots of pictures of flaring matches yesterday and they were all pants so I thought about it for a while and had another go today. Thus, in a small way defeating said swirling pit of despair. Shooting backlit smoke is a right/rite of passage for a photographer so I had to do my bit and contribute to the sum total of smoke vortices from flaring matches photographs.
A clever lass I know used it as inspiration for one of her 50 word stories fiftywordsaday.wordpress.com/2013/02/04/safe/
When I go out shopping en femme, my main consideration is usually blending-in although wearing any type of dress or skirt runs counter to the prevailing trend. Yesterday's outfit was probably not in that blending-in category! Anyway, the only reaction I received was from the very cheerful sales assistant who said "You're very Summery". Every time I go out, I see more and more evidence that people are just too busy with their own lives and concerns to pay any attention to anyone else, including little old me!
My brother almost burnt our house down yesterday. You can see some of the black ashes where grass used to be. He lit a match and tried to stomp it out and when he looked back down it was spreading. Half an acre or so got burned. It was about twenty feet from my house before the fire department got there. I got so angry; they were putting out the part that was near the woods first as to not cause a forest fire and the other side of the fire kept creeping up to my house.
Trevira and Kollage Kid started a little project to cram as many things into a matchbox as possible..here is my attempt-this is the contents laid out and identified...

At first i wanted a match been struck but as i had no one to strike it for me i thought id try a candle below, and then wait for the heat to ignite the match. Turns out the sudden combustion of the match was enough to extinguish the flame from the candle. Maybe just me been silly but i thought that was pretty COOL :-)
Day 14 First wrestling match i've ever been to.
Lighting was hard! They shut off lights except one main light for the main event. Looks nice but a challenge to shoot.
