Not the sort of mask we've become accustomed to :)))
We had lunch out, again, today, and this was part of the restaurant decor.
This is my custom Ewan McGregor's Black Mask from Birds of Prey, who I made some time ago but recently I finally got the torso and legs I really wanted to use. This is actually based off of a figure I made for one of my universes for an organization who's members used skull masks to conceal their identities and I realized he looked a lot like Ewan McGregor's Black Mask. The original figure is up on my photo stream for anyone who's interested.

"life with a mask - the students"
(last of the polaroid series)
first, i want to give a massive and warm-felt thanks to all my students who posed in their annoying and restrictive masks.
we now have to wear these damn things indoors at all times on campus. while they are highly protective they are still a daily nuisance.
you may see a student smile here and there in the photos, but that's because of their warmth and wonderful personality. it is surely not because we're happy to wear a mask...they suck. but, here in taiwan, we'll take minor discomfort over getting sick.
again, a huge thanks to my amazing students.....xie xie!

Because it is still the period of masks, I present these masks from Zurich pride parade. They are very spectacular, but I do not know to what extent they can be used for protection against the new coronavirus. :}

A mask of Gollum from the film "The Lord of the Rings." Bought for a Halloween party this mask now hangs in the garden summer house, perhaps it will scare off spiders.

I've done a kitsune mask for Oiwa, my ANS Suzaku. She's half kitsune, so I wanted this mask for her since I got her.
It's a very simple thing, and a quite cute one. I may do an other mask for her, but a less kind one!
Handsewed with cotton and felt .

I'm ready to go!
Next week i have to leave Italy and to go to Sweden!!! There will be a strange current local time: Sunrise at 3.39 and Sunset at 22.05 ...so i thought to make some eye masks, one of the best ways to get full, deep sleep.
These are for friends, but i want to make more!! :)
