A monkey mask Noah & I bought at the county zoo years ago. It looks a little greasy thanks to the snow melting on the front of the Duaflex II.

Also during the Prien meeting (mentioned here), I was a bit uneven about what to fold. So Liesbeth taught me how to make a mask.

It was a great experience, especially folding the nose.

Lairy Masks

Our Southern Alberta weekend calls for sunny weather, Art walks visiting galleries, and a French Film Festival at our historic movie Theatre. This inevitably diverted my attention from prairie landscapes to virtual constructions where fish tales and looking behind the mask revealed a world eggsactly as I had imagined.

Rijksmuseum voor Oudheden in Leiden.

Maskers achter glas.

Bij opgravingen in de polder Roomburg bij Leiden deden archeologen in 1996 een spectaculaire ontdekking. Ze vonden een prachtig bewaard gebleven bronzen viziermasker uit de Romeinse tijd. Het voorwerp kwam tevoorschijn uit de bedding van de zogenoemde ‘gracht van Corbulo’, een kanaal dat de Romeinse generaal Corbulo omstreeks 47 na Chr. door zijn soldaten had laten graven om een verbinding tot stand te brengen tussen de Rijn en de Maas.

I'm hearing that when stores re-open, many of them are requiring you to wear a mask so I made some kid-sized ones.

I took a walk around Downtown Olean NY to take some pictures.

Why not wear a mask for the ones you love?

Discarded gas masks at a school in the abandoned city of Pripyat, close to Chernobyl.

Easy to do, like the women in blue. Doing the right thing.

They served me well, then came N95 and KN95 and they were bested. I mostly wore them over a hospital issued surgical mask (that provided not enough protection) to provide an additional layer and a better interface between me and the pediatric patients. So far, hospital acquired COVID 0.
