OKINAWA - U.S. Marines, of III Marine Expeditionary Force, prepare to enter the confidence chamber to conduct chemical, biological, radiological and nuclear (CBRN) training at Camp Courtney, Dec. 22, 2011 to ensure operational readiness. Training is conducted annually. Marines discuss various CBRN scenarios and responses to mitigate hazards, wear their individual protective equipment and mask, and enter the gas chamber to conduct a series of drills. This is a leather mask that has been hand crafted and shaped out of one piece of leather. I used metallic acrylic paint for the base coat and to freehanded the swirl design. The base color is
silver with blue metallic brushed over and the swirls are black, silver, and blue. The button off to the side is a blue with a clear crystal in the center. Behind that, there is are several black and blue feathers. There are also clear genuine Swarovski at the end of every swirl
This mask was a gift and came out quite beautifully.

Nice, quality, smooth leather painted with acrylic and it's ready to go! This mask is made from one piece of 7 oz vegetable tanned leather. There is an elastic chord that is easy to tie off for quick adjustments. One size fits adults.

Here's the mask, with new jewels. So far I haven't sold any masks, but they aren't being well-displayed in the shop.
I like the TM Pro Goggles method of fastening. The elastic strap has a plastic clip fastener so the mask can be very easily removed.
Apparently - I haven't tried this yet - the goggles can be detached from teh mask section to act as a pair of stand-alone goggles. Handy if it works.
My wife and I went for our anniversary to Clonbur where we had our wedding reception. This beautiful scene is down a side road on the road to Finny just beyond the bridge over Lough Mask.
The Bubbler in collaboration with the Neighborhood Intervention Program (NIP) and Prof. Faisal Abdu ́Allah present an art exhibition by Madison youth. "Mask Off!" brings together UW-Madison staff, The Bubbler, and teenagers of greater Madison to celebrate identity, alter egos, and human complexity. Based on 15 weeks of workshops with diverse artists, the project emphasizes the multi-vocality and diversity of the youth who are often at the forefront of the nation’s friction. The art, made by the teens, tells stories about the multiple facets of self-imagination versus determination by society. The alter egos that the teens developed reflect upon their adaptation to challenges encountered in their every day lives.
