The Audi Quattro is a road and rally car, produced by the German automobile manufacturer Audi, part of the Volkswagen Group. It was first shown at the 1980 Geneva Motor Show on 3 March.

The word quattro is derived from the Italian word for "four". The name has also been used by Audi to refer to the quattro four-wheel drive system, or any four-wheel drive version of an Audi model. To avoid confusion, the original Quattro model is also commonly referred to as the Ur-Quattro - the "Ur-" (German for "primordial") is an augmentative prefix, in this case meaning "original", and is also applied to the first generation Audi S4 and Audi S6 models, as in "Ur-S4" and "Ur-S6".

The Audi Quattro was the first rally car to take advantage of the then-recently changed rules which allowed the use of four-wheel drive in competition racing. It won competition after competition for the next two years. To commemorate the success of the original vehicle, all subsequent Audis with their trademark quattro four wheel drive system were badged "quattro" with a lower case "q". The original car with the upper case "Q" in the Quattro name is a collector's piece.

The Audi Quattro shared many components and the core of its body style with the Audi Coupé, which was a member of the Audi 80 (B2) model range. It was internally designated Typ 85, a type number it shared with the Audi Coupé GT, Audi Coupé quattro and Audi 4000CS quattro. Its characteristic flared wheelarches were styled by Martin Smith.

Oktober 1982 auf dem Estering in Buxtehude seinen dritten Rallycross-Europameistertitel (nach 1974 und 1976), während Audi selbst erst etwa einen Monat später bei der RAC-Rallye von Großbritannien die Rallye-Weltmeisterschaft des Jahres 1982 (einzig die Markenwertung, Walter Röhrl gewann im Opel Ascona 400 die Fahrerwertung) unter Dach und Fach bringen konnte.

With the comprehensive anniversary exhibition 300 years of VIENNA PORCELAIN MANUFACTURE, the MAK sheds light on the history and significance of Europe's second oldest porcelain manufactory. Founded in May 1718 by awarding an imperial privilege to porcelain production to Claudius Innocentius Du Paquier, the Viennese porcelain manufactory set aesthetic standards in the following decades. Around 1,000 objects from the collections of the MAK and from national and international collections offer an impressive overview of Viennese developments in the context of Asian precursors and European competitors.

Since its founding years, the MAK preserves the estate of the imperial led from 1744, 1864 closed Vienna porcelain manufactory and is dedicated to the study of porcelain. With examples from all epochs of production, the estate gives an overview of around 150 years porcelain production in Vienna. The Viennese porcelain production covered a broad ceramic spectrum: from dinner service and vases to clocks, high-quality porcelain sculptures, scenic and floral miniatures, porcelain paintings with relief gold decoration and cobalt blue to large-scale porcelain paintings with floral still lifes.

For major works of the Viennese porcelain manufactory, such as the porcelain room from the Brno Palais Dubsky (c. 1740) or the centerpiece from the Abbey Zwettl (Vienna, 1767/68), the exhibition 300 Years of WIENER PORZELLANMANUFAKTUR provides the latest scientific findings with previously unpublished documents. Both the "Dubsky Room", one of the first rooms with European porcelain, and the centerpiece from Zwettl Abbey are permanently exhibited in the Baroque Rococo Classicism MAK Collection designed by Donald Judd.

Mit der umfassenden Jubiläumsausstellung 300 JAHRE WIENER PORZELLANMANUFAKTUR beleuchtet das MAK die Geschichte und Bedeutung der zweitältesten europäischen Porzellanmanufaktur. Gegründet im Mai 1718 durch Vergabe eines kaiserlichen Privilegiums zur Porzellanerzeugung an Claudius Innocentius Du Paquier, setzte die Wiener Porzellanmanufaktur in den folgenden Jahrzehnten ästhetische Maßstäbe. Rund 1 000 Objekte aus den Beständen des MAK sowie aus nationalen wie internationalen Sammlungen bieten einen eindrucksvollen Überblick über Wiener Entwicklungen im Kontext asiatischer Vorläufer und europäischer Konkurrenten.

Seit seinen Gründungsjahren bewahrt das MAK den Nachlass der ab 1744 kaiserlich geführten, 1864 geschlossenen Wiener Porzellanmanufaktur und widmet sich der Erforschung des Porzellans. Mit Beispielen aus allen Epochen der Produktion gibt der Nachlass einen Überblick über rund 150 Jahre Porzellanherstellung in Wien. Die Wiener Porzellanproduktion deckte ein breites keramisches Spektrum ab: von Tafelservice und Vasen über Uhren, qualitätsvolle Porzellanskulpturen, szenische und florale Miniaturen, Porzellanmalereien mit Reliefgolddekor und Kobaltblau bis hin zu großformatigen Porzellanbildern mit Blumenstillleben.

Zu Hauptwerken der Wiener Porzellanmanufaktur, wie dem Porzellanzimmer aus dem Brünner Palais Dubsky (um 1740) oder dem Tafelaufsatz aus dem Stift Zwettl (Wien, 1767/68), liefert die Ausstellung 300 JAHRE WIENER PORZELLANMANUFAKTUR mit bis dato unveröffentlichten Dokumenten neueste wissenschaftliche Erkenntnisse. Sowohl das „Dubsky-Zimmer“, eine der ersten Zimmerausstattungen mit europäischem Porzellan, als auch der Tafelaufsatz aus dem Stift Zwettl sind permanent in der von Donald Judd gestalteten MAK-Schausammlung Barock Rokoko Klassizismus ausgestellt.

Two weeks later, Jellinek ordered 36 of the vehicles at a total price of 550,000 marks – a sizeable order even by today’s standards: in 2005, this total would have been equivalent to 2.3 million euros. Just a few weeks later, he placed a new order for another 36 vehicles, all with eight-hp engines.

SS Stettin (tłum. pol.: SS Szczecin) – lodołamacz parowy (obecnie statek-muzeum), był budowany od 31 sierpnia 1932 do 16 listopada 1933 (chrzest 7 września 1933) w stoczni Stettiner Oderwerke (obecnie teren Stoczni Szczecińskiej). Był też statkiem flagowym floty lodołamaczy Szczecińskiej Izby Przemysłowo-Handlowej, w skład której wchodziły także statki: Preußen, Pommern, Berlin i Swinemünde.

Erdal produced "Red Frog Brand" (Marke Rotfrosch) shoe and leather polish, while Kwak was a maker of floor wax (Bohnerwachs). Together they put out a series of Great War cards in the late twenties.

The infantrymen are quite accurately portrayed, while the flamethrower squad is more impressionistic.

Since the Treaty of Versailes had banned German flamethrowers in 1920, the card artist may not have had access to the weapon and therefore fudged its appearance.

Beide Festivals teilen die Vision, die Herzen der Menschen mit Lichtkunst und Liebe zu verbinden.” Unterstützt wurden die beiden vom Berliner Team. Birgit Zander, die Veranstalterin des Berliner Festivals, ist Mitglied im Berater-Gremium des New Yorker Pendants.
