2015-ongoing
We know more about the surface of Mars than we do about the deepest parts of our oceans. MIT graduate Sampriti Bhattacharyya has proposed a remedy to this using swams of the drones she has created. Embedded with sensors and cameras, the drones scan the ocean floor for information and have a range of potential applications, from monitoring oil spills and coral reef growth to disaster response.

EyeInSky Applied Drones in Education & Industry
@EyeInSky was born out of an intense love of flight. Started by building custom drones for leisure, it now focuses towards industrial applications and raising awareness on its potential through education.Aspiring to make learning drone tech affordable to anyone, @EyeInSky is committed to teach classes here at MakerBay. We are developing kits allowing anyone to learn the components and dynamics of drones from scratch, thus encouraging even more revolutionary utilization ideas for the tech in the future. @EyeInSky is also part of DarkMatterLabs, engaging in R&D applying drone tech to industries such as plantations, construction, and environment monitoring integrating open source platforms.. We have recently delved into mapping plantations using modified cameras to detect plant health through NIR (Near Infrared) photography. We are currently looking for industrial partners and investors to apply our expertise in tailoring solutions to solve real world requirements.
