This toaster maps the number of minutes to the degree of "toastiness" by placing the numbers onto varying colored boxes that correspond to the color the toast will become at that particular minute. In this sense, there is good mapping. However, the horizontal moving bar to adjust the number of minutes has no mechanical relation to anything going on inside the toaster.
There's no information about how it got here, but this giant two cylinder steam engine sits mysteriously next to Monarch Lake.

This sweet little boy ran down stream to where I was poised with my camera, to try and catch a floating piece of bread his friend had thrown in higher up stream. He was so excited when he caught the soggy chunk of bread in his little net. This is my first time to really play with the colors of the photograph, and do color mapping, I guess you may call it. Hope you like it!!
