The street was so hot that I could neither ride the bike nor walk on it anymore, walking on the gras shoulder was very slow and no shade... After about 4 km I run out of water and was at my limits. GPS told another 10 km to the next town. I was considering to call to get a lift. The ones who know me well would understand that I would not do that easily. I must have looked very exhausted, standing at the side of the street In the shade of that little tree. Many cars passed by of course I would not attempt to stop any. Funnily, a harley davidson biker looked at me and decided to stop. My first thoughts were, what I would tell him when he asked me whether I am fine. Surely I would have answered, i am alright just need a little rest. Actually, that was not his question but he was saying: "the street is not good" and we immediately where discussing and he could tell me for how long the street will be like that and when there will be downhill and shade. This helped me so much that I could continue and made it half an hour later into the town. That chat was all the help i needed. I would have refused likely any other help ( my wife know best) and i belief he knew.
