The maples aren't really at school - just across the street! This is 黒沢尻西小 (or Kurosawajirinishishogakkou) in Kitakami City. It translates to "Black Spring Buttocks West Elementary School." I can't imagine where that name comes from!

I love the red in this leaf, reminds me of fall and the red Poppy for Remembrance Day.

Lest we forget...

永觀堂:小溪與楓樹

Silver maple leaves on the banks of the Olentangy River, Columbus, Ohio, U.S.A.

Staff members from Chardon Library and the Bookmobile hit the streets of Chardon during the annual Maple Festival.

The rain drops on these Japanese Maple leaves glistened as a steady rain fell today in Georgia. The leaves have a quiet beauty about them and the rain droplets just added to the lovely view. It's the first thing I see when I walk out the door to the front porch.

I am happy with this particular capture! Now that's a good feeling!

My red maple in my front yard, living up to its name.
